My wife and I commented the exact same thing! I also think his walk looks very similar to Kurt's. There was a scene where John Walker is walking away (down a hallway, maybe?) and I had a vision of Snake Plisken walking...

Was anyone really surprised when Carter was revealed to be the Powerbroker? I felt like it was pretty obvious when she gave them a tour of her studio in Madripor. Bit disappointed when she didn't turn out to have extra special new super powers.

So ALL the MCU D+ series are all 6 hours. WANDAVISION was just divided into smaller segments so lasted 9 eps, but was still 6 hrs total.

Carter showed up first in CAP 2: WINTER SOLDIER...the same film where The Leaper (French fighter Batroc) showed up. As such, when both Sharon and Batroc showed up in this, AND she was off the grid in Madripoor, I knew it was her.

Nice to see nods to US Agent, The Patriot, New Falcon, and the creation of the Dark Avengers here though.

I found it consistently amusing as an MMA fan how to almost everyone, Batroc is just some dude played by some dude, but me and my brother are like 'shit that's GSP he'd better be in it more!!!'.


Anyway, good show. Satisfying. Some awkwardnesses, but nothing killer. Zemo had better get a Thunderbolts show of some stripe.

Sam’s speech in the finale is one of the finest speeches in the entire MCU.

Pretty good finale with some mediocre moments (but I'm not one of those folks who insists "mediocre" is worse than "bad"). You can count me among those who thought Falcon and Bucky were low tier MCU characters before this, and my affection for both (especially Sam) rose a lot from this show. Flag Smashers remained underwritten (those we see and those we don't see) so I don't even blame the performances for that issue, but I do think the upswing from ep 5 was continued here and they coulda been more interesting if given more attention as characters. Ah well, at least they weren't robots.

One of my favorite aspects of this show was seeing Sam fly (or using his wings in general). It looked consistently great to me, better than a lot of studio movies. We've come a long way from watching people plummet off a cliff into a green screen ocean!

I forget what did Carter do that she got banished? Do we think she has really gone bad or has she gone deep undercover to eventually reveal she is a see double agent?

Does sams captain America suit look bad to anyone else? Steve’s final version of the suit is red blue and white but looks modern and cool. Sam looks like he is cosplaying a superhero. Doesn’t look real

Sam not being a superhuman seems to break physics. The jet pack might be lifting the 5 ton armored car for him but the force still goes through his human body. Just minor thing that annoyed me.

Also the physics of the vibration shield are always inconsistent but Thor can hit caps shield and the shield absorbs all the force and momentum. But when Carly hit the shield the wings braces the ground to stop him being knocked ass backwards. Cap is a superhero sure but if the shield didn’t have magic physics Thor would still break his arm. The magic physics of the shield would go a long way to explaining how non super human Sam can go toe to toe with superhuman but they didn’t go that route.

And the new suit is so comic-accurate for Sam that I was super pleased by it.

Only the part involving the truck bothered me. The shield comment is just something I noticed, but thought looked cool in the moment. The shield by its very nature breaks physics, no real object could act as it does so understandable that it’s hard to be consistent with it.

I think the suit is too bright for me maybe. Too much white.

I agree about Falcon Caps suit. I think in action in looks fine but in various shots where you see Sam from the front he looks too bulky. Like he's wearing football pads.

Doesn't fit with the idea of a sleek flier.

And yes the Shield physics are wonky. Sometimes the shield, even thrown by a normal human, goes straight into material, through wood, plaster, stone. Other times it bounces off surfaces and people's heads with little damage. I guess you can handwave it by saying it's about how the characters throw it. It's all in the wrist.
