Damn, if that is a suicide vig there goes my only PI.

Why had I PI'd Eloth you ask? This post:

There's roughly 17 hours and 20 minutes left in the day and I am off to bed.

Weekend freeze starts at the end of the night 3 resolution, or at the end of the regular game day, whichever comes first.

I sent you a PM I hope you're still around to answer it.

I read that as Eloth asking PS about an ability very similar to mine (and I hadn't used mine yet.)

Lo and behold, I was right. Although no pretty colours like mine had.

This at least narrows down the pool substantially once we see CFs.

Someone mentioned MO as town for meta reasons - I have to ask can you still be sure of your meta when they'd taken a break for a while from mafia because if the factions agree then potentially this just cleared OL and we need someone new.

rikkter - had you voiced your suspicions of eloth being PI any time before this post?

otherwise we are in wifom territory

you see the suicide vig, claim eloth as PI either because you are scum and know that eloth is town, or because you had really PI'd eloth and wanted to say it before the CF because otherwise it would hold no weight

any chance you mentioned this before eloth jumped into the abyss?

Only outright to PS, so this is the closest I came on thread:

I took this to be Eloth querying if PS would be around in the event he chose to manipulate day time with an ability like mine. I responded thus;

Heh. As in "all Begians have a beer"?

Given that we're only just at l5 there's really no way to substantiate that, the dead alts will not have carried out any actions so we have nothing to compare.

What are your reasons for believing that?

It is a good call though and I suspect it to be accurate, I just want to understand what set you along that path.

*raises a glass of beer to Eloth*

(although worth noting in no way, shape or form am I claiming to be Belgian PS :) )

i did pick up on the beer reference you made back to eloth

wasn't sure if that was a signal of some kind or just banter so i left it because not much materialized after

could definitely be true though, thanks for digging that up. now the thinkymeatz must work...

Yeah, so that makes 5 factions +scum. (Unless of course one of those non- US, EU, Asia factions is all scum). What factions existed in previous spycrafts?

SpyCRAFT 2.5: Syndicate (3 x Setry, 3 x Bodyguard, 1 x Henchman, 2 x Doppelganger), Spy (Chinese x 2, Japanese x 1)
SpyCFRAT 2.0: US x 3, China x 4, EU x 4, Japan x 3, Russia x 3, Syndicate x 5
SpyCRAFT 1.0: Syndicate x 4, Russia x 4, British x 2, French x 3, US x 4

Worth noting from 2.5 is this PM:

Roles:

Ruse:

Quote

Heinke Glömstrom – SYNDICATE – BODYGUARD – ASSASSIN

Special: if this character is not killed during this game, she will give the scum a distinct advantage in Spycraft 3.

Level 0:
Otto's Henchwoman (N, Info): passive. You know the identity of Otto, Madame Marichords regional commander (Liosan).
Level 1:
Stick to the Shadows (B, Proof): passive. you have 1 Bullet Proof that you can give to Otto as a day or night action, if you like.
Level 2:
No extra abilities.

Ruse survived.

Also, really quite worth noting is the CFs have all been nationalities. From 2.5 again:

Ampelas is dead. He was Mentalist, and Haratori Nomaki – Japanese Spy

Merrid is dead. He was Tattersail and Captain James Min-He - Chinese Spy.
Korabas is dead. He was Vengeance and Sylester Tsung - Syndicate.

I have a nasty suspicion that we haven't actually hit scum yet, GL coming up as Henchman notwithstanding

rikkter - another question concerning this post

do you stand by the underlined above?

if so, not only can we not have 4 scum at the present moment, we could not have started with 4 scum if we haven't hit any scum yet. based on your logic there we absolutely started with 3 scum or less. have you changed your mind about gl being proven scum or are you still on the fence? if you are on the fence, plz clarify the numbers situation as you see it

Given how certain others seem to be that GL was scum I'm leaning to the side of agreeing now - particularly after the recent batch of CFs all came up RI.

For numbers I figured on 3 before, I figure on 3 now. Or since we lynched one, two. So 6-2 as it stands, 1 NK 1 lynch leaves us WCS 4-2 tomorrow needing 4 to lynch. I don't see 2 NKs as being very likely, or none.

I'm going to try and do a re-read soon looking at some alts - don't hold your breath though.

The game is on.

Day length: 32 hours.
Day remaining: 31 hours, 58 minutes.
Night: as soon as I can resolve.

ALTS: Alkend, Ampelas, Bek Okhan, Denul, Eloth, Galayn Lord, Korabas, Kessobahn, Lock, Monok Ochem, Okral Lom, Rikkter, Tiamatha.

Green voted for scum
Red is dead and didn't vote for scum.
Blue is confirmed scum

If this is a godfather type of game (which I suspect it still is) then I seriously doubt that the mastermind (mm) voted for one of his henchmen on day 1.
That leaves

Ampelas
Denul
Korbas
Kesso
Lock

as suspects for possibly being the mm.

In my order of possible

Kesso
Lock
Korbas
Denul
Ampelas

Reasons

Kesso - I have no read on him at all he is so barely here that I have forgotten about him multiple times. Never a good sign

Here is where it gets harder and the bottom 4 can almost switch places with each other

Lock - I actually like and agree with a lot of what he has to say. However he hasn't made any waves or barely a ripple.
Korbas - He has had a couple of what ever cases. But has also barely made a ripple
Denul - Has been all over the place with ideas. The reason he is lower is because he has also tried to shut down particularly stupid ideas.
Ampelas - He is kind of here by default. Other then the "A" business with GL's first post amp hasn't been under any real pressure.

As my posting for today is drawing to a close. I would love a time update so that I can know if I should vote now or if I can hold off until tomorrow. I want to see more from kesso. Right now that is where my vote is leaning.

ok i have a massive amount of posts i gathered to wade through but before i do, just wanted to respond to this briefly

first your numbers are off on the lynch train - you only have 6 alts in green when it took 7 to lynch - ironically i am the 7th player (6th vote on gl's train) that you missed. looks like from your analysis you probably won't have to go back and rethink much of it, but yeah, probably should get that one fixed before further analysis :)

I think I like my vote. Pretty much everyone has come onto the thread since I laid down on Kesso. Everyone has ignored it completely, when, if inno, a kesso train bandwagon could have been easily jumped on and made into "todays legit lynch" by scum. No reaction tells me scum are trying to avoid it in hopes it's just swept under everything else.

Outstanding.

That and your oh so dramatic response to Kesso's infinitesimally brief appearance. I would have more sympathy if you actually had a case or at least referred to one.

Checking back in because I seriously can't sleep and I'm inclined to agree with you.

The total lack of a vote update by PS may be a factor here though. FWIW if there is a better case turn up before timeout I should be checking in enough for a quick switch.

Vote Kessobahn

Huh. Interesting. So no one thinks that OL's sudden splurge of posting is suspicious? Nor his avoidance of even talking to me about my case against him? And everyone is hush hush this close to the end of the game?

Interesting.

I am getting the feeling that we are throwing in the towel.

M'kay. I am going to have to go to bed soon anyways, and may or may not be awake for the EOD. Hence why I'm a little pissy. I could see a no-lynch to buy us time, but I'd at least like a discussion over it rather than a foot-drag to the finish line of the day.

I'm throwing in the towel on finding something that someone SAID that is more suspicious. If we let the skaters skate, HO would've never been lynched last game. Just because there's nothing there to make a case on, doesn't not make him PI.

Look at it this way - there has been a ton of confusion sown on thread, by townies or possible symps. Making cases out of that confusion isn't getting us anywhere IMO. I think it's more likely that scum are hiding within, and staying out of, said confusion.

As for Okral Lom. He has been higher on my possible scum list for a while, but not because he's suddenly posting more. He posted quite a bit over a specific period of time on Day 1 - it just strikes me that this is how his RL is allowing him to post/notpost.

Calling for no-lynch and your resistance to the very idea of lynching Kesso is veeeeeeerrrry interesting.
