Build 1 cruiser and 1 interceptor in Delta Eridani

:p

I don't think you're stupid enough to attack me but I could be wrong. Buy the diplo fleet and we'll exchange ambassadors. *shrug*

SS has pushed Tapper over the line in the sand. So that'll take care of them for a couple of rounds. D'rek and Tatts are going to play footsie.

I have no idea what's in CF's fevered mind. But it doesn't really matter. From what I can see you've got this in the bag. Everyone else is going for second.

I've already purchased the Diplomatic Fleet and have exchanged ambassadors with D'rek. Khell was too slow else I would have done it with him instead. And you are right, I have no plans on attacking anyone but for those that build up troops along a border with me it makes me very nervous and will force me to take actions I would have rather not have had to make.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Yeah it does. It's just that D'rek's ambassador is covering it up.

Given that 2 people have already passed and the Gnawkhellians are most likely going to do the same it looks like this round could end before CF gets back. Which leaves y'all with the question of the out of sync techs.

The tech pile remaining has 1 each Artifact Key, Fusion Drive, and Tachyon Drive.
The pile also has been missing 2 rares: Tractor Beam and Point Defense.
We have been drawing 12 tech instead of 11 per the rules.

We have 31 regular techs of which 3 should not have been included but have been there the entire game.
We have 5 rare tech of which 2 have been missing the entire game.

There are 3 draws remaining. There are a few choices.

  • Keep the 3 extra regular and add the 2 missing rares. 31/5 == 36
    • Continuity: Stay with the 12 per round and rares don't count. Last draw will be 7 regular and any remaining rares. All techs in the game.
    • Orderly: Do a flat 12 each round. rares count. All techs in the game.
    • Fairest*: Do 10 each round and rares don't count. 1 regular and X rares don't get drawn.
    • Compensate: There have been 6 techs overdrawn. Next draw we only get 5 regular. Rares don't count. Last 2 draws are 11 and rares don't count. 4 regular and X rares don't get drawn.
    • Placeholder. (I'm sure there's another way that I'm not seeing and is the perfect solution.)

  • Toss the 3 extra regular and add the 2 missing rares. 28/5 == 33
    • Continuity: Stay with the 12 per round and rares don't count. Last draw will be 4 regular and any remaining rares. All techs in the game.
    • Orderly: 11 each round and rares do count. All tech in the game.
    • Fairest*: 9 each round and rares don't count. 1 regular and X rares don't get drawn.
    • Compensate: There have been 6 techs overdrawn. Next draw we only get 5 regular. Rares don't count. Last 2 draws are 11 and rares don't count. 1 regular and X rares don't get drawn.
    • Placeholder. (I'm sure there's another way that I'm not seeing and is the perfect solution.)

  • Status quo: keep the 3 regular, don't add the missing rares, and stick with the 12 draws per round with rares not counting.

*By fairest I mean spirit of the rules. Even with correct draw counts there is a chance that some rares won't get drawn. This option allows for that to remain in effect.

So, we'll need to decide what to do.

1: Decide whether the 3 extras stay.
2: Decide the draw procedure.

Here are the techs:

It was supposed to be public. How for come I can't see the names of the voters?

I'm one of the voters. 1: don't care 2: yes 3: 12

But my vote shouldn't count as I died.

I'll put a provisional in to RESEARCH warp portal for 8 materials in case D'rek gets her move in tonight.

I'll put it in my OP which I'll do now.

Point defense isn't good for me for example so I could have factored that into my decision for example.

I opted for the other option for how to draw the remaining tech. Since we have drawn 6 regular tech too many by this point of the game I suggest we draw 2 less tech each for the remaining rounds. Also ditch the three extra tech tiles as they are not suppose to be there anyway. But if you want to do a true up round I would vote for just drawing 5 tech and then going back to 11 draws for rounds 8 & 9. Though the CF/IH camp would probably be mighty disapointed if there are only 5 new tech being as they are the first to act if they were hoping for some specific tech.

12 regular tech should not even be an option as it wasn't a house rule so we should at bare minimum be drawing only 11 regular tech tiles as per the rules.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Shit. I decided to throw Twelve's in as another question. It reset all the votes but the 4 who have voted can't vote.

I wonder if I can delete it and start another one.

That is a very good idea with a strong rational basis. The options I thought of all had a taste of "slap some duct tape on it".

I think that Twelve's idea is the way to go fwiw.

Given that we only have 3 rounds left do you think I should retreat from D'rek and concentrate my forces elsewhere? Just asking advice on endgame. Not that I have to heed what you say but thoughts are welcome.

I guess you didn't get any feedback on this...

well Tatts, do you plan to move it out? If you say you want to move it out I'll believe you and I won't pin it this turn. I've got enough discs to do something else this turn.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.
