Given that we only have 3 rounds left do you think I should retreat from D'rek and concentrate my forces elsewhere? Just asking advice on endgame. Not that I have to heed what you say but thoughts are welcome.

I guess you didn't get any feedback on this...

well Tatts, do you plan to move it out? If you say you want to move it out I'll believe you and I won't pin it this turn. I've got enough discs to do something else this turn.

Given that last upgrade he made I would guess that his next action will be to upgrade antimatter cannons on the interceptors and one on the dreads.
And wherever they end up, as his last action he can drop the drive and put a positron computer over the nuclear source. That's a nice configuration for cleaning off any uncontested hexes he can land in.

I'll put a provisional in to RESEARCH warp portal for 8 materials in case D'rek gets her move in tonight.

I'll put it in my OP which I'll do now.

Which hex are you putting in?

Yup, but Tatts and twelve can both basically do another 5 more actions this round, so a lot more can happen (whereas I can do 3 more, 4 if absolutely necessary). If Tatts wants to pull back his dread to deal with twelve, then that makes things easier for me, so why not ask? It'd be a shame if I built this turn, pinned it, and he was planning to move it back after all. If he's not, then good to know and I can go ahead and pin it right away.

Sorry. Didn't intend to sound critical. I simply commented on the implications of the two energy sources and fast legs. To me that just screams "I'm gonna kill the cubes." Or escorts for a capital ship.
In one respect, he's already changed the tide. He's in your head and has you reacting to his moves. If he gets some mats and one other piece of tech and you could be in trouble.

Anyone else plan on attacking twelve this round. I think its suicide for me to do it alone. Not sure yet Drek. Like you say I have 4 or 5 more goes this round and want to plan accordingly.

Well, I hope to continue being a thorn in D'rek's side a little longer. Sure, I wont amount to much, the great Horde is now more of a huddle. All the same, I do continue to keep her just a little distracted, but if you withdraw this round she'll simply remove me from the game.

It is D'rek's turn. She wanted to know if I was moving my dread this turn and leaving her be. If I do that she'll do something else.

Depends on the amount of materials you each have. Looks like you have the better dreads, Tatts, but if twelve can drop a few starbases then yeah attacking him would be suicidal. On the other hand, looks like you'll have the last move so you can keep doing moves until twelve runs out of discs and attack wherever he doesn't have ships.

But that's why I'm asking if you are going to move out that dread. I'd rather not fight it, but I'll throw everything at it if I must. Are you going to leave it there?

Twelve has wisely said nothing.

If I leave my dread there I protect Morgy, you can go after the ancient and I can use my other ships elsewhere, taking that one hex for one turn, moving it next turn after artifact link. I have no interest from keeping it and you wipe out the ancient and get either VP's or Discovery.

Do you really need that one hex so badly this round?
