I will, acting as Tapper:

Upgrade drives on interceptor and cruiser to fusion drives, upgrade hull on cruiser to positron computer

Waiddaminute....for some reason I've been thinking this whole time that D'rek went first and I was responding to her move.

She has not yet moved to Beta Centauri, so strike that from the current board update.

D'rek do you then confirm your provisional?

CF,

Morgoth put in a provisional for his second action to upgrade his Dreads with two improved hulls. He had no idea what D'rek was going to do before this action so I think that needs to stay the same. Then D'rek moves her two ships into Beta Centauri and SS upgrades his Dread with a fusion source.

It's currently IH/Tapper's go.

ooooh shit. Sorry. I didn't look at page 1, and just assumed what he sent me in a PM was what he wanted to do next. Sorry sorry sorry. my bad.

Morgoth's provisional stands.

SS has submitted a move too so I'll process that.

Tapper / IH should be up next then.

OK to sort it all out In chronological order

GP influenced

MOrgoth had a provisional upgrade entered which I missed completely but everyone else assumed had been executed

D'rek moved

Gp asked for a takeback which I did not grant

SS entered a provisional (probably confused as to why I was waiting on morgoth)

I make morgoth build an orbital mistakenly. Twelve points out that I'm a dumbass, I issue a correction so that Morgoth's upgrade provisional stands.

IH moves

@IH, by the numbers in the simulation, the orbital offered only slightly better odds.

If I change around so that the orbital takes a money cube, then he should be able to afford it.

@Tapper / IH - you're invading rho indi space this turn arent' you....

@Twelve - you're up.

EDIT - also will update thru Mechanema reflecting the current state of affairs.

Ok, it makes sense to me. My move order into Beta Centauri still stands.

Okay colonise two advanced economy planets on My Arae and Vega. That leaves one colony ship. Influence hex south west of gnaws ex home world. Flip one ship. colonise materials planet. Influence hex with grey planet. Flip one ship.

That leaves two colony ships UN flipped.

I think I have that right but flipping back and forth through phone pages is tough.

And so for GP's influence action we're going with the above, just with the last "Flip one ship" not counted because he's Magellan?

Corrected board is up too. I noticed a few more little oversights with the influence discs not being moved properly. All fixed now.

Tatts, want to have some fun?

Move your interceptor to Morgy's home world.

Oh, I don't mean for him to take it. I said 'fun' not conquest.

You can't retreat to a hex with another player's ship in it. :crybaby:

More amusingly, morgoth could slip his ships through to attack d'reks home systems.

But hey if Tats was going to do that, why piss about... send a dread :crybaby:

Because he's extremely risk averse. Other wise he'd move on dread to the ancient hex on the other side of "my" supernova and the other to the ancient hex behind Morgy. :crybaby:

So halfway into the game the player in 2nd place decides he is "going to be unpredictable" and no longer try to win? That's kinda not the point, you know...

I'm assuming this includes the influence disk for my research action correct?

And as for my action

Research - Advanced Mining for 8 science

Edit: Deploy two colony ships to settle the advance mining slots in the GC and Zeta Herculis.

Tell me about it. He made one bad move that isn't likely to cost him anything and he is all woe is me!!!!! I'm in a great position to win the game so now I'm going to go all suicidal for the second game in a row. Boo Hoo!!!!!
:crybaby:/>

Love ya Tatts but seriously that's a bit over dramatic don't ya think? It's not like you lost both of your Dreads in a fight you expected to win (Which you dodged this game once already). You are fine. Just use another influence action or bankrupt those hexes this round if you really don't want those hexes and don't rush your decisions next time just for the sake of moving the game forward. We aren't going to finish this before Halloween the rate we are going so another day won't matter in the grand scheme of things.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.
