If you we're to cede the Vega sector to me, I would dump materials for more science and grab advanced economy.

Why do you want it? I know we're not allies in the technical game sense. But you're up against hostile forces. So make me a reasonable alternative and I'll let it pass to you.

Edit: I'm considering the advanced robotics.


I don't want it really. I'm looking for a good research option. I am going for Plasma cannons or computers.

Well this sure has been a boring last couple of days. I'm glad I didn't waste any gummy snacks following the action.

Solidsnape have you decided on if you are going to populate the material planet with your last colony ship yet or did you want to stick with using it for one money even though you didn't need to do that? I'd personally use the colony ship to settle the planet as it gains you more resources but if you have some other plan in mind then you might opt for something different.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Looks like Zeta Hurculis is going to get very crowded this round. As this is a provisional you might want to seriously reconsider changing your action Tapper. No sense losing all those pretty new ships of yours so early in the game.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Not a threat. Just a statement of fact. If he wants to throw away his tin cans he is more than welcome to it. Actually I encourage it! A bloodied nosed man machine gives me a few rounds reprieve before he can recover would be fine by me. Or better yet I'd swoop in and take his homeworld if he gives me grief in taking that hex. I'd totally let D'rek take down the GC to put the computer people in their place.

They do make building ships more feasible don't they. Don't you worry Lobster boys. The pirates will take you out soon enough and the only building you will be party to will be the building of a dinner feast.

Yeah played as the eridani, the quantum grid, double dread opening is super strong.

Mechanema grabbed the early lead despite the strong eridani opening and grabbed the GC. They were the powerplayer for most of the game (they built ALL their ships, which I have never seen before), but foolishly spread themselves to thin by attacking exiles... whereupon the hydrans and I piled in on them taking most of their hexes. The hydrans missile fleet eliminated most of their ships in an epic last turn battle. Hydrans grabbed the shellworld from the mechanema for a very strong finish, but I grabbed the GC, artifact link and the ancient monument via judicious use of the artifact key. Came home with 63 points, hydrans had 50 odd, exiles and mechanema limped home with 30 odd.

We played a slight variant in a 10 turn game, as we left in all the explores. I wouldn't recommend it, two players ended up filling all the technology tracks and led to boring early game.
