Looks like the round is winding down.
@Solid - I need your hex orientation before I can do the board update.
Looks like I'll be able to do a big double-update since there are so few actions this last time around the board.

@twelve, so are you grabbing quantum grid to eliminate (well at least reduce) the eridani disadvantage?
Keeping a running total of upkeep and your bank is good practice as it can clue you in to when your going into the red (and it's easier for everyone else to keep track)

You got it. I figure if I can get on par action wise with everyone else in round 1 why the hell not. As for the running upkeep total I debated on putting it in there but as everyone can see the board updates they should have a general idea where you stand anyway and by writing it down after each action you (hopefully) won't run into the problem that D'rek encountered last game where she messed up her upkeep that one round and overextended herself and was forced to bankrupt that science hex when I don't think she wanted to.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Also a good way to make it easier for the lazy players who don't meticulously survey their enemies' player boards before making moves!
@Khell,
I have made no professions of war. You are not going to have your hands full with anything. I think the terrans are a far bigger threat to you than a few dreadnought-less space pirates.
@Twelve
To process that action I just moved the markers to the appropiate spots and blacked out the research development up next to the tech board. That should be sufficient for everybody, yes?

I sense that I shouldn't begin making my Round 2 moves before getting the ol' notepad out and composing some scrupulously extensive notes.

I'm going to give a shot at doing interval board updates since I have copious amounts of time. Downloading inkscape now.

Why not? I have my first half of my round 2 moves mapped out already.
ALL HAIL THE GREAT AND POWERFULL ERIDANI!!!!

Yeah the eridani certainly get a boost with the developments over the base game, grabbing quantum grid turn 1 is pretty powerful

Even in the base game you can play it where you can get the Quantum grid by round two even without the developments. It takes a lot of dicipline and you have to convert all that money and maybe even some materials to science to do it but it's possible.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Yeah, I got that at turn 6 or 7 last time and it was a huge game changer. Having last (or second-last) move every round for the last 3 rounds was extremely useful, given that my economy didn't pick up much until later on.
Nice thing for Twelve is that he's neatly circumvented the Eridani disadvantage in round 1 without draining his starting money and has reduced the chance of anyone else getting the tech too. It is a very good move IMO.
For my move, I'll research advanced robotics.
Back around to Khell and the rest of the passers.
If I have this right:
Khell, Gnaw, Tatts, morgoth, d'rek have all passed as provisional. Any change to that?
If not then we need word from Solid snape on both his new hex orientation and what he wants (if anything) to do with those free actions.

Haha dude....funny draw. You find SINEIS. You are the pulsar king this game it seems.

I've been called worse. Thanks CF
Just orientate as is please, and populate appropriately.

It appears I get 2 free actions each round now (albeit reaction type actions).
They seem quite redundant for now though. I was hoping for some ancients tech!

You could use them to build another interceptor or to upgrade some of your ships blueprints with additional hull or computers if you'd like. Or a combination of the two.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

well, the upgrades don't cost you anything. I'd at least take those. You haven't researched any new ship components, but you're free to swap around what you already own (ie the parts already on your blueprints).
Also, even though it costs materials, plopping down a new interceptor or starbase isn't going to cost any less later in the game and you can at least get an extra one for free right now to deter enemies and improve your ability to strike at ancients.
your call, but I'd definitely use them at least for the upgrades.

CF have we skipped SS one round? My research development action was a provisional as I think it was SS's turn when I put that down on the OP. I think he has an action before my reseach action and he has another one before my next action.
Solidsnape can you update your front page post so we all know where you stand?
Thanks

his action prior to your purchasing the development was an explore, and he got SINEIS.
I was just waiting on his orientation move when I processed your development action, so yeah, technically provisional but his choice of hex orientation doesn't affect what you were doing so I went ahead. My provisional was purchase of advanced robotics, which can also go ahead since it isn't affected by SS or your own development.
Everyone else has passed so we're back around to SS to determine if he wants to do anything with his pulsar tiles.

Well if all he is going to do is use his pulsar tiles I might as well put in my next action.
Research Quantum Grid. Convert 3 money to 1 science. Spend 15 science for the tech

I have a question regarding the ancient Dreadnaught in the center hex. The shield regenerator, does that just remove a point of damage each round or does it also provide a -1 shield as well to the Dreadnaught?
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.
