Come on peeps, it's awfully boring when you have nothing to do but wait for others to finish. Let's call it a day on this round already.

I guess it's not your fault, though. You all simply don't have the advanced technology which the Hydrani possess, and which makes everything so much more efficient for ourselves.

It is CF's turn I believe and he is the Mod. I have put a huge red post for him to read and sort actions. Then it is back to me as you and Gnaw have passed and I am toying with the idea of exploring that tier two hex north of the last hex I drew and hopefully orientating away from D'rek again! Or I pass and I don't have to lose that science cube in my tier one hex.
Apt is the only one who reads this. Apt is nice.

@All,

As of the end of this post, all TIER 1 is gone. There are TWO more TIER 2 slots. There are presently (as of my action) 13 tier 3 tiles on the board of a maximum of 24 (right?).

We have the option of leaving in all remaining Tier 3 tiles if you guys want. It will make for a bigger game, but possibly less fighting (boo).
@Morgoth,

System kept, population placed.

@Drek ,

Upgrades complete

@ SS

Haha dude....funny draw. You find SINEIS. You are the pulsar king this game it seems.

@Tapper

Considering there are still tier 3 tiles remaining, I took your first provisional on page 1. You find NU OPHIUCHI

@Twelve

Influence action processed. Science planet colonized.

@Cerveza Fiesta - exploration SW of Kappa Scorpii yields Zeta Draconis - a double ancient tile.

Orientation as shown.

I am definately not complaining. Rotate in such a way that wormholes point with NW, N orientation of excess wormholes.

You're a fucking douchebag, CF.

Apologies, you're not a fucking douchbag. But of all the directions you could have explored...I do hate you just a little right now.

Good draws for CF, two double ancients and a research discovery, if he grabs some good tech next round he'll be in a strong position in a round or two.

Also I assume SS can use his pulsars from round one? If so he may as well start upgrading now!

Though just checking now... you do realise your close to being bankrupt? you can use your free actions from both pulsars, but you'll have to deinfluence at least one hex at the end of the turn (and use one of your colony ships to get money) in order to meet upkeep.

I'm not.

The pirates have to be played with maximum connectivity. I might as well resign now if I'm not going to play the race properly. THe syndicate is like the polar opposite of the Lyra, and I can't win sitting on a secluded, turtled chain Tier 3 systems.

That said, I'm not reneging on my desire for peace with my neighbours. Besides, it's going to be at least another round before I could even consider doing anything aggressive toward you or anyone else, and by then your tech is likely to be too advanced for me to try anything anyway.

That also said, I'm taking that ancient tile, so don't even bother thinking about it.

Yeah, yeah, blah blah blah, playing in a way for my own race to succeed, blah blah blah. What about my needs, CF? What about those, eh!

And yes, I am very much thinking about it. Not because I want to, but because you're forcing me to by placing it there, right on my doorstep.

You forgot. The first free action is only a move. So right now SS can move his interceptor twice for free and then after that he can select which free action he wants to do next.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I don't think that is right, I think SS can either upgrade or build, but he cannot move, the action takes place when he moves his influence disc to one of the free spaces was my understanding.

Well, another action will put me at -10 / + 8, so I believe I will do an upgrade action come my turn. Change one hull for a + 1 computer on the orbital, and add one hull to the fighter schematic.

I'm not forcing you to do anything. There's lots of Tier 3 tiles left, and loads of space to explore southward. Whether you take the hex or I take it, we're still neighbours.

Yay! Let's be spacepals!

I think you are right. I went and reread the Pulsar rules and I think my understanding was backwards. You take the action that you move the disk to not the action where the disk was from. So SS can get either two free upgrades or an upgrade and a build if he wants.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

IH and Twelve's (corrected) version was my reading as well.

To use the action, you must physically move the influence disc to one of the free slots, and it can only be moved once per phase. This turn you can do 2 builds, 2 upgrades, or one of each, or nothing.

The disc is not re-set to its original position for the next round. if you choose, say, to build this turn, then next time your options would be only to move or to upgrade.

Having two of those hexes will be a powerful advantage later in the game Solidsnape. If you coordinate your free moves right, then you will have a much more mobile and better-upgraded army than the rest of us.

If by "per phase" you mean "per round" than I agree, too.
