Nothing is as bad as South Carolina politicians. Although everyone has their own opinion on that.

I don't know much about SC, except that I expect it to behave like a "red state". NC seems more like a microcosm of the legislative GOP stranglehold on a state that is trying to be better, in fits and starts at least, and is being prevented from doing so.

Anyway, the GOP is -- fundamentally, as a feature of its ideology, not a bug -- a party of erasure and cleansing. At the state level its policies are deadly. At the national level they're genocidal (in intent, if not effect, cold comfort as that is).

From a Reddit thread

Thankfully the President is apparently too incompetent to say anything that could be dangerous.

Oh hey Trump fans are now terrorists, having sent bombs to a number of people who he has breasted online in recent days. So that's fun.

The language was very specific, though: Trump called it 'political violence' and 'terrorizing acts' and Huckerbee-Sanders, not terrorism.

Probably muslim terrorist. However I wouldn't put it past Trump to dehumanize them and call them sick animals or rabid beasts ("dog" is apparently a word he has a mild fetish for as a negative description).

@ Apt: it seems all bombs share the same design and the same envelopes. The targets are people Trump and the right love to harp on as fake main stream media and deep state establishment that wants to open the borders. It fits the bill of a group that sees their interests aligned with Trump without necessarily being affiliated with him, or as Trump referred to them: part of the Very Good People on Both Sides in the Charlotsville demonstration.

This story on No More Mister Nice Blog is an interesting read: apparently the bomb to Brennan featured a fake ISIS-flag that has been doing the rounds in obscure far-right circles.

I have to be the voice of reason here: there is the person(s) who made the bombs and sent them, and then there is the people who received the bombs, so you have to admit: both sides had a hand in this political violence.

Also don't forget, Sarah Huckabee Sanders had to go a restaurant and not have dessert so both sides are acting in an appalling manner...
