Right, so I've watched up until season 5 episode 8 now (that's all that is available on Netflix).

I honestly don't think the series got proper interesting before season 5. Season 5 I like because they seem to have thrown caution to wind and are now showing Walter as the true piece of shit that he is. I hope to fuck that Jesse ends up putting a cap in his dome when he eventually finds out what Saul did for Walter.

Can I say that I really don't understand the admiration of Walter White on the Internet? I've heard people making the Scarface comparisons. I've heard people calling him an evil mastermind, etc. He's really not. He's an arrogant, yet ignorant, fuck up who makes bad decisions based on his paranoia and fear. He fucks shit up and then he scrambles to save his own ass time and time again. And then when he some how, by some weird miraculous fluke, comes out alive, he doesn't learn. He just takes his being alive as a sign that he is in the right and everyone else is either a fool or out to get him. How many times has turned on Jesse now? How many times has he made a bad lie and seen it turn back on him?

God I fucking hate Walter White. I hope he drowns in a barrel full of sulphuric acid.

Yeah, but Cranston delivers the goods!

Heck, the articled linked to earlier in the thread about Anna Gunn being the target of vicious threats and vitriol clearly shows that she, too, is delivering the goods.

To be honest, I didn't want to see this show, I really didn't. Everything people said about it just put me off for some reason. Don't know why. But I've seen it now and I like it. Alot. Certainly not the best show I've ever seen but it is really good and the actors really deliver good solid performances.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Good episode. Episode 13 spoilers ahead:

I feel really bad that Gomez is going down in all this. I mean, I also feel really bad that Hank was going down, but Gomez just got caught up in the tide.

It's strange that Walt just zoomed over to the site and confessed three murders on the phone without thinking the cops were involved. But then, he showed that he adamantly refused to believe that Jesse would talk to the police because he said, many times, "he's not a snitch" when it didn't even matter. So it probably didn't even occur to him as a suspicion when he was on his way.

Another funny thing to note is that Walt never even considered that Jesse would go to the cops to bait him out, but Jesse knew that Walt would go to Andrea to bait him out.

Brock treated Walt with that same cold shoulder he did last time. Does he have some sort of sixth sense about the guy? Or maybe he saw Walt snooping around in his school the day he got sick, but is too embarrassed to say it.

Holy fuck. That was one of the most intense episodes of TV I've ever watched. I was on the edge of my seat for over half the episode.

Dawning on me that the biker gang lieutenant is also an FNL alum. Same dude who played Street's recovery buddy who got him into murderball, before the actual guy from the Murderball documentary joined the cast later on.

The second Hank called Marie, i said "This is going to end very badly."

And i loved the way Hank just almost looked at the camera and grinned when he told her he loved her... like a veteran soldier announcing his retirement, forthcoming marriage and intent to buy a bar just before that one last mission who knows damn well the universe is just going to annihilate his ass...

Holyshit, good catch. You're absolutely right.

Still can't quite sync up sweet little Landry with ubercreep Todd in my head. I have a feeling it's only going to get better/worse before the series ends.

I may be way off-base, and Lord knows my girlfriend vehemently disagrees with me on every possible level, but I really feel like the BIGGEST tension (of the 23095840580 tensions in the plot right now) of the season is the question of whether or not Walt truly did ever care about Jesse in any kind of altruistic way or not. I am firmly in the campus that he does.

My very rough prediction looks something like this: Hank and Gomey die. Walt skips by end of next episode via Saul's "disappearing act" dude and lands himself in New Hampshire (hence the NH license plates and the penultimate ep title "The Granite State," duh.) Jesse is, however, going to get more or less chained up by Todd and the fucking 4th Reich without Hank there to grant him "sanctuary." Think on it. They are looking for someone to improve their cook. Lydia knows Jesse can do it, as does Todd. And Todd also has a vendetta against Jesse. Vince G. has said that Walt is coming back to ABQ to "protect someone" in the flash forward scenes. I think Walt will head back to ABQ to take on the white power gang and save Jesse, only to have the series end with Jesse STILL putting a bullet through Walt's head.

I had that same thought about Jesse being forced into slave labor for the bikers while Walt escapes. Not sure about the rest of that, but it's plausible.

I had a similar idea, only Todd died in the shootout as well thus necessitating the need for Walt or Jesse to cook for them.

Still, I'm not convinced things will quite go down that way. It disregards Walt's family, Marie, and most importantly Lydia. I'm not sure what the extent will be, but Lydia is definitely going to be involved in some upcoming shit. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Andrea (and maybe even Brock...) still play a part. There are still the two Nazis scoping out their house, and if Jesse gets captured all they have to do is kidnap them to give Jesse adequate persuasion to do whatever they tell him.

Definitely agree on Walt using the disappearing service. I think we'll also see how his house gets messed up next episode. It's called Ozymandias, after all, so we're bound to see what Walt has built for himself all fall into ruin. I think it's possible the car wash will get hit as well. However, there is the question of what happens to Walt's family when he disappears.

Gomez is definitely dead. Hank...the phone call and being so outnumbered almost seals it, but I have a little doubt in my mind. That phone call is an obvious way to broadcast his death, so it could potentially be a huge red herring. Why exactly the Nazis would keep Hank alive, though, I don't know.

Excluding Gomez, I think a main character will quite possibly die next week. Something needs to happen to really drive the nail of Walt's demise home. I still think Marie is going to die.

We got some brief respite in last week's episode, but I think it's nonstop chaos from here on out.

That should be a fun show. The stories to tell are endless.

A spin-off for Badger and Skinny Pete would be a fine show also. I wonder if that is in the works.

Caught up last night. There has to be more to it otherwise why not kill hank off at the end of the episode. If hes going to be killed why not do it three episodes before the end in a climatic shootout like with Mike. Why drag it out? Does walts money get into the hands of the uncles? Is that what Hank tells them to stop the firing that theres more money than sense around there.

Also im watching this on Netflix and when do the new episodes go on the UK netflix?

The Wendy montages is probably one of my favorite bits in Breaking Bad.

She plays a small role but I think she is one of my favorite characters.

Did she pick a pube out of her teeth and flick it @ 0:25 mark?

The openers to each episode are the best. Here's one featuring Badger using his premonition skills to identify an undercover police officer.
