Ahh, I seem to have missed it yet again.
The love I bear thee can afford no better term than this: thou art a villain.

Woke up drunk. Might be a bad time to go in for the second interview. Well we'll see...
Wow, no typo's not as drunk as I thought.

Taking first ever bite of deep fried chocolate bar (Moro)...
CRUNCH!
edit: that was alright but just a bit gross.

Poo. Are they actually going to go ahead with that?
It'll be like having a sign in Rotorua with 'Rotovegas' on it.

Veteran Wellington film director Geoff Murphy could barely stop laughing when told yesterday that the idea would proceed.
Good.

Are they not supposed to be crunchy on the outside? I hope they are, or it wasn't a proper one. Then I'll have to get another one from a different fish 'n chip shop, something I'm in no great hurry to do. Still feeling a bit queezy from the experience.

I hate that '-vegas' suffix. I've heard Rotovegas, Invervegas, Ashvegas. Class. I get it's meant to be ironic but it cheapens the town IMO. Just sounds gaudy. Still, it's the residents of those places insisting on calling it that...

^ My views exactly. The whole thing is absurd.

I dunno, NZ has this whole self-hate thing going on most of the time, why not individual towns? Plus Rotovegas doesn't actually sound that bad, to me. Though Wellywood...ugh, wtf?
Oh, also, most interesting thing about Taupo? Once you get close, it gains a little bar over one of the letters. Rofl.

Did the people who decided on 'Wellywood' think of Bollywood? The perjorative label given to the Indian film industry to suggest that it was nothing more than a cheap imitation of Hollywood. It took them years to begin to turn that around, and the negative connotations are still there. They're inherent in the name ffs. Now we've gone and called our film industry 'Wellywood.' Good one guys.

It doesn't even sound good. 'Wellywood' is a horrible collection of syllables, at least 'Bollywood' doesn't sound completely ridiculous.
