See if this works. He's got that movement just right, which highlights why it looks so weird in games.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Outer Wilds is a wonderful and intriguing game.

Rockstar has finally revealed what they've been working on in the lead up to Warner Brother's event August 22nd.

It's Suicide Squad:

Don't know what to think.

On the one hand I don't really care about Suicide Squad and supposedly it's a Games as a Service affair.

On the other hand it's Rocksteady. If anyone could have a chance against Destiny and Bungie, it might be Rocksteady.

It's a really cool game everyone should try.

I bounced off it though because my brain started to melt from trying to keep track of all that information and the rocket ship controls drove me nuts.

Watched NerdCubed do a playthrough instead and it was brilliant. There's a lot of stuff I'd never have understood or put together with out a guide. Probablt one of the smartest games I've ever seen.

It's a DC comics game by Rocksteady, so it'll have good sales.

Will it end up another Anthem though? Hard to say.

Same as Avengers, if it's a multi-player focused GAAS that automatically means no Day 1 purchase for me. BCS, pick it up at a huge discount down the line.

I'm part of the minority, though, and just like Avengers this'll probably sell like hotcakes; how long it'll keep "engagement" numbers though is anyone's guess.

Arguably, Rocksteady's Batman games are some of the best games that came out on PS3 and PS4, I am very optimistic about what they potentially could have cooked up. What worries me is all the leaks that suggest it's a troubled project or that they had to scrap earlier concepts.

On the other hand, every publisher dreams of a succesful GAAS game, the same way they were all lusting after that WOW money last decade. I could see Warner giving Rocksteady A LOT of ressources for this project.

Hah, yeah the amount of times I've overshot the twins into the sun are too many to count. Still, I am very much enjoying it, and have found the computer to be pretty good at keeping track of all the info. I hope I don't need to keep track of all the names, though I am trying to keep track of the ones that seem particularly important.

I would definitely recommend reading as many of the spiral texts as possible. Not only do they create the games lore but there's some epiphanies you get from the explorers/scientists back and forth that's mind blowing.

I won't spoil anything for you but there's a couple of times where you get one piece of info and suddenly you look up at the stars and go oooooohhh shit.

I think I have figured out where I go to end the game now, having found a power source, knowing where the Vessel is likely to be found, and having discovered the location of the Eye. It's an incredibly satisfying game to figure out. Like when I understood what caused the loop. Some of the platforming can be a little annoying though, I am intimately familiar with White Hole Station at this point.

I messed around with the bramble crater on "Earth", then went to the moon, then tried exploring the gas/water giant and got royally fucked up several times just trying to fly to the planet. Can't imagine trying to figure out the Ash Twins.

After a few crashes and some overshooting into the sun, I got pretty used to the flight controls. After that, getting to the planets has been fairly easy. Bramble is still somewhat tricky though, as there are anglerfish there, and they will happily eat the ship. Giants deep is fairly straight forwards to navigate actually. The islands mostly have landing pads that will help guide your ship down safe.

Getting into the core was a lot trickier. I felt pretty pleased with myself when I figured that out.

Halo Infinite has been delayed until 2021.

https://twitter.com/...2037841920?s=20

That's pretty massive. That's pretty much all Microsoft had ready for launch. I can't believe how not ready they appear to be for their supposed comeback.

Definitely building a PC instead of buying an Xbox.

Finished Outer Wilds yesterday evening. That was a great experience, and I'd recommend it to anyone that enjoys exploration and puzzles leading into a wonderful little story.

Not sure if Discussion-forum-worthy:

Epic introduced a way to circumvent Apple and Android pay methods in fortnite. In response both Apple and later Google kicked Fortnite oof the respective app stores.

So then Epic showed a cinematic short called "Nineteen-eighty-fortnite" , being a spoof of the famous Macintosh commercial, and then filed an anti-trust complaint against Apple. And later, Google. Basically, they want the right to run their own app store on each OS, bypassing the OS manufacturer's cut.

There's a bunch of reasons I don't see much merit to Epic's arguments as framed in the claim; however, if they manage to succeed, this will be a very interesting development, since similar claims could be made against Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo's walled garden ecosystems

Never have played Fortnite, but I found this amusing.

"We violated an unjust law, and so Big Bad Apple broke our game. Be mad at Apple with us! Support your favourite Party, Corporation game, or the world will end up a dystopian nightmare ruled by another corporation!"

Epic's hypocrisy knows no bounds.

There are some theories gaining momentum about where Bungie is going to take Destiny 2 with the next expansion, and if they are correct and they take it there, hooboy, the reaction is going to dwarf what Last of Us Part 2 experienced. There are going to be some butt-hurt fanboys that will have the torches ready to go.
