To be fair, Tattersail acts like a cougar. :D

On a semi-unrelated side-note, I found True Blood while searching for a TV show to follow during the summer--and, at first, it seemed like a twitard-eseque plot. Definitely improved, though, into a decent show.

What?
Doesn't act like a fat person?
What the hell?

Ok, that made me laugh.

I'd bring that up as an anecdote among friends (including hers) as much as possible.

Tattersail doesn't walk around in a moo moo and gets it on with (evidently) good looking young male officers. Have you tried telling her that in pre-industrialized worlds, being pale and voluptuous was considered good because it meant you were well off?

Edit: True Blood is good, and Sookie is yummy.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Yes, I told her these things. I think it was just the fact that she walked everywhere, and didn't use a motorised scooter. Was maybe just very jarring to what she's used to. Apparently walking out to the battlefield at Pale should have killed her. And perhaps her visuals of Tattersail and Calot doing the no-pants dance got weird when she was told Tattersail is actually quite large. One can hardly imagine Edward (whom she most likely was thinking of) making it with a plus-size Bella. Such things are just plain wrong.

Corrected for truth.
Since Meyers dreamed this, and Iz' description matches Meyers minus a quite a few pounds, thus in the dream we assume that Edward was after Meyers.

Sadly, I believe most of us encouter the same reactions when trying to explain the many flaws of twilight...I know I did. there is just no reasoning with the brainwashed masses of twittards. One shining example that happened to me was during one of my many arguments with one of the girls I mentioned earlier, I asked her to answer me this 'would you like it if a guy you just met and is acting totaly wierd every time you happen to be 20 meter radius of him to break into you room in the middle of the night, each night and just stare at you while you sleep? fighting his urge to sink his teeth in your neck and perform all kinds of nasty and filthy acts with you???' she goes quite for a while and I'm thinking that I've triumphed and that for once common sense has one...but then she goes '....Edward wasn't like that, he is soooo romantic, and besides if someone decides to do this to me and he's as hot as Edward then I don't mind...' I looked at her with a feeling of contempt brewing within me...I said to her 'yeah if that happens be sure to let me know all the details...'
I swear I'm tempted to hire someone to break into her house and delibrately wake her up while she is sleeping....

and I've also tried all those arguments used by Mappo to no avail...
When a man lies he murders
Some part of the world
These are the pale deaths which
Men miscall their lives
All this I cannot bear
To witness any longer
Cannot the kingdom of salvation
Take me home

The best come back to all that girls line of lack of thought is simply:
"So it's not rape if the guy is hot?"
She can also be called shallow and stupid if she's willing to dismiss dangerous stalker and abusive partner behaviour because the said guy is hot.
So if one day her boyfriend beats her it's ok if he looks good while hitting her and tries to pass it off as uncontrolled passion?
I call her a failure as a woman and a human being.
I'm sure that feminists everywhere are cringing every time they hear Twilight now.

Jesus... That has to be one of the worst things I've heard from a Twitard, she actually stopped and attempted to think and still failed.

I'd give her an A for effort if I didn't think she'd find that horrific. It's opposite day in her world, every day.

Failure as a woman indeed. It's completely inexplicable to me that girls can swallow such blatant misogyny and still froth at the mouth for it. In a good way. For them, anyway.

And she didn't like that Tattersail was fat.

Tattersail is what is called "Junoesque"; meaning marked by stately beauty. From Juno the queen of heaven in roman mythology. Also as discribed in art as statuesque.

( Or as a girl friend use to discribe herself as a big strong polish girl. Whats not to love.)

I've been following this thread with slight amusement up until now, since the only Twilight-fan [yeah, I refrain from saying twitard in this case] I've personally encountered so far was my best friend's younger sister and she was just like 'Edward's totally uncool, I like the evil vamps' [though she made us watch the movie :D ]. But today, oh gods, I had to realize I'm going to have to spend the next four years with twitards in one course.. :D :D

So, we had this more or less lovely meet-up with future fellow students today [makes sense with less than fifteen students per course], and the prof made us talk to each other and then introduce the one we talked to to the others [like in grade school, love it - not].. And there they come, two seemingly normal twenty-something girls.. I was expecting something crazy, since we already had someone with a turtle tattoo, me with my obsession for book covers and other funny people, but then one goes and says 'Well, that's what's-her-name and most of all things she likes Twilight, and Edward Cullen.. Heehee..' I swear my jaw dropped very unlady-like, I swear it. Especially after hearing that stupid dreamy 'heehee', and even as I was starting to become relieved since a few people made similar faces and then some grumbling sounds were heard across the room, the first twitard goes 'And that's what's-her-name and she likes Twilight, too.' That's about everything either one said. Well, I can guess what they've been talking about the previous twenty minutes even without further info.. I also can guess what their first project's gonna be.. Gods, help, please! ;)

Illustration. We're taking all subjects together, sometimes mixed together with other groups, but usually not split up, doesn't make sense with about ten to fifteen people in one group. It's a course split up in different subjects, but there's one group per course. You could say it's three years, since the fourth is essentially working on projects and one's thesis, but there are still subjects one has to attend to. It's an academy, and I don't know how it's in other countries, but in Germany academy is pretty much like school, just loosened up on the rules.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

My Aunt bought the twilight books at a garage sale and gave them to me telling me that since I'm such a fast reader I could read them quick and tell her how they were. I tried to say no but she wouldn't listen. I eventually gave them to my cousin, unread, having been unable to subject myself to them. My sister did rent the movie which I watched with her, and it turned out to be hilarious.
