Anddddd, Gem just went off the deep end. Sigh. So much for defending. Meh, I admire her (whatever it is that mean to go out kicking and screaming).

Why do these games always have someone that ends up just suiciding in frustration from the vote pressure?

I wasn't about the voting pressure really, I was just pissed off. But when I finally exploded the thread I was calm, and had decided to ride it out - I only had 2 votes after all. Then I just posted that stuff on an impulse, and I just ran with it, for fun. I sort of had realized before that though that they were gonna keep focusing on me for a while, and it wasn't going to help the game. That is seriously the worst thing about getting bad cases on you as RI - the fact that you know that the scum is laughing at you from some corner... :broody:

See, in that case, you reveal Finder as Fener's Partner. Go back through Fener's posts and find something random that you can claim as your 'code.' Saved from lynch and are the next NK after Fener (because let's face it, the scum aren't going to take a chance you are bluffing).

Bonus: You point a finger at someone you figure as scum and see if you can drive the lynch that way.

Xpost with STD but basically, I'm not tooting my own horn as much as saying, "If you are going down, go down swinging." Yes, I could have been wrong about Mockra/Fener, but I rolled the dice confident that my fake reveal would very likely get Mockra killed. I've read too many games in the last few weeks and they all end up the same: A vocal person early gets lynched that was innocent, which is why I jumped for Fener.

Haven't read all of spoilers but:
I just have to say this is utterly wrong most of what i'm reading here. Fake revealing as Feners partner? Exploding like Gem did? I disagree with it all I'm afraid.

What would have revealing as Fener's partner had done? Would have had Telas counter reveal and exposed to the killers, that would be incredibly poor play. And immediately everyone would be saying they're a symp when they come up inno.

Also the way Gem exploded has everyone thinking Gem was a symp, cos when strange shit happens, your left scratching your head trying to explain it. And the best explanations that you can come up with is that they know more than you and are therefore scum of some sort.

For me, defending yourself shouldn't involve screwing your team over at some point, no matter how stupid the sheeples are. Go out fighting, and when the frustration gets too much, swear and curse as well to add some spice
Its actually a good way for people to work out whose scummy, in a well defended case the scum will either push it, or sit out.

As for the game itself, killers have a good shot at it. 3 of them left is a healthy number, leaving Anomandaris for a later death was a great move, if he survives another day its starting to get suspicious, its already drawing the Telas find.

Wouldn't write the innos off completely though, when the numbers starting are really big its difficult to figure everything out without a slip/find going your way. Tennes and Ruse have both poked their heads out now when they said they didn't think we should eliminate the guarded people from the suspect pool. While they are right the guard isn't working, I've found its often killers who say things like that, its in their benefit to keep the suspect pool as large as possible.

When numbers drop to 10 or 8, then I expect to see it get a lot tighter and a scum lynched.
Even with 14 players left when I was killed I had a list of people who I didn't think were scum of: D'riss, Shadow, Serc, Anomandaris, Korlat, and probably Gamelon. So half the remaining players were potential scum, and of that 2 actually were, with Gamelon getting the PI from the early Find.
Drop it down to 8 players and it starts to look a whole lot better. So I'm not writing off the innos yet.

Not sure if they'll get a case on Gamelon though - he's played it pretty well, I'm not sure why Shadow being inno Gamelon suddenly came into focus I missed that leap of logic from Dibs.

Gamelon is the only person talking sense.

Telas knows it's all bullshit too, but he's being sensible and keeping his distance from me. :D

Killers have it pretty much wrapped up, though, IMO. ETA: It's not like the killers are in control of the game, the innocents are, they're just going in completely the wrong direction and I see little chance of a change there.

Ruse/Malaese is pretty bent out of shape. I understand why you 'cleared things up' but in his mind, you've only helped the innocents.

I'd like to respectfully petition for you to stop giving information to Ano via PM's. He's using it to try and figure out the game, rather than play it.

Is this about saying there are no evil guards? I don't see that as changing anything, really. The role list was quite clear on the possible roles, and nowhere did symp-guard or killer-guard come up.

Also, yes, they all suck. lol

Thank you.

I'll forgive them all if the innos win...if they don't (and destroy my winning streak) then my wrath will be terrible...well, quite bad...well, I am quite wrathless if truth be told...but I shall be quite cross...

I hoped they might turn Gamelon's way, but last look they were back after Shadow.

Considering this was a 'simple' game it is really rather complicated. I'm glad the guard thing has been cleared up. I wondered at the point of the role if the killers were paired...oh, so much to learn.

@ PB ~ you must have a brain the size of a planet...I feel so stupid most of the time in mafia. Which is quite unfair as I am really quite intelligent...I must be because I keep telling everyone so.

Seriously though, it amazes me how cases are built out of what seems to be absolutely nothing (for good or ill)...and if nothing else I have learned that you need to concentrate just as much as an RI as a roled player.

ho hum!
'Tell me, Tool, what dominates your thoughts?'
The Imass shrugged before replying. 'I think of Mafia, Adjunct.'
'Do all Imass think about Mafia?'
'No. Few think at all.'
'Why is that?'
The Imass leaned his head to one side and regarded her. 'Because, Adjunct, they are sheeple.'

Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that frisbee getting bigger?" ... and then it hits me.

I wasn't defending myself, I was trying to screw my own team over in the end there. I had a thought somewhere back in my head that maybe you guys would catch on and realize I wasn't scum, but I'm fine with how it turned out. :D

Fighting on thread and swearing and cursing could just as easily be seen as over reaction from a scum or whatever, that tactic haven't really worked out for me as RI, ever.

Yeah I'm really lousy as RI.

OK! Lots of thoughts to post from today.

First up, Ruse enjoying himself:

Quote

Anomandaris said:

vote shadow

we probably still have 2 killers out there then, though to be fair i am snowed at worked and finding it hard to make sense of all this.

BINGO! ship it! Who wants to play "just the tip, just for a second, just to see what it feels like"?

Next up, Gamelon. But what makes him think that Shadow might be his symp?

Quote

Phew,

Long defense is long did its job for now, but if Shadow is our symp, it's too bad for him  .
Ideal would be if he isn't lynched, though.

Tomorrow Emurlahn to be fed to the lynch pile, if we can?

Anomandaris leaves his provisional on Gamelon. He's on the right track, at least:

Quote

if fener and kess where partners it means gam started inno, but we cant be sure he is still inno, so i think leave prov on gam.

Gamelon again, getting confident:

Quote

Hope you're enjoying the game - but I must say, I fear that with 2 (or was it 3?) mod kills and maybe no finders left, town is very possibly screwed, especially if we still have a symp.

Also... I'm a bit miffed at people stating I need to speak up, that I've been laying low, and then I make a case at Shadow and a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge defense of myself and everyone skips over it. Do I smell (of anything other than Essenza di Zegna) or something?

And another thing... how can people say I play low profile when Ment (Tellan) and Telas are playing as they do? Pfff.

Oh well, enough rambling from me, going to read a book from my bed and hope that the day times out.
Cheerio,

Tapper

They'd much rather lynch Shadow than Emur, and they're killing Anomandaris:

Quote

Quote

Shadow did some very nice work there. Preps a lynch on Emur... but if I jump over now when I made a case against Shadow, it would be too obvious. Grr. Here's to hoping the day bleeds out.

I'll be gone for 2 hours or so, need to do some last minute shopping in town - tomorrow's a national fstival here and everything's going to be closed up.

Go go get your stuff. I am here now and I have already made a case on Emur. Let me see what the damage has been so far.

I am think that your right we need to take out Anomandaris tonight. He has outlived his usefullness.

Bent Change the provisional to Anomandaris.

More to come.

Telas, with "Book of the noob". He may be a noob but he's already one of the better players. Good instincts!

Quote

...of "Mafia, Book of the Noob".

If I live the night, I feel I may have to consider a reveal whether I have a guilty verdict or not, just so some of my info is out there.

If Emur turns up innocent and either Shadow or Ano is night killed, I might consider holding onto my hand for one more night, since that means the killer(s) decided they needed to knock off the more high profile type. Fener assumed Ano or Shadow would go first, but since they haven't I may not have as much time as I'd like. For better or worse, I am currently operating on the assumption that Ano and Shadow are inno, subject to change based on the lynch and night action results.

I think Ruse may have cracked Fener's code, since he appears pretty deliberate in implying that there is no other finders left in the game. Ano, if innocent, is being a bit of a retard in arguing that Kess and Fener were not partners, which serves to act as a big "keep looking" prod to the killers.

Gut tells me Tennes is a suspect and if I need to do one more find, it might be on Tennes. I can't believe I"m the only one who is convinced that Omtose and Ano are paired. Nobody's saying it out loud though, for their own strategy reasons I'm sure.

Right now, my worry is that the guards will decide to guard ME, which would block me from getting any info at all. That would be some shit luck. I've been secretly hoping that someone would post an "ok, guards might be useless against killers, and in fact they may accidentally block a find since for sure one finder is dead." That would save me the worry. If I'm blocked tonight, I'm not sure revealing tomorrow would do much of anything, so I'd probably be forced to try to stay alive for one more night. "Ruse and Amp are innocent, hope that helps...." :p

And finally, I've been deliberately (trying to be subtle, but it may appear like an elephant stomping around anyways) dropping "I'm not really sure what's going on" dunce or noob nuances into my posts. The hope is the savvy killers will assume that I'm harmless and that I will be good as potential putty in their hands later on, so there's no need to kill me now.

And finally, if the lynch turns to Emurlahn now, that might make me take a look at Tennes.

And then I found 10 dollars!

And changes his provisional to Tennes if Emur gets lynched. Let's hope for an Emur lynch!

Quote

Is it legal to do a contingency plan? Can I change my provisional to Tennes IF Emurlahn is the one lynched?

Basically, if Shadow is lynched keep the provisional on Emurlahn. If Emurlahn is lynched, put the provisional on Tennes.

Doable? If not, let me know so I'm ready with a switch PM at the last minute.

Noted

Ok, what Ruse wrote about paired killers getting past guard makes a lot more sense than the BS I just spouted.

Please change my action and put a provisional on Emurlahn.

Thank you.

It is changed to Emurlahn.

This is totally acceptable, we do it all the time. So provisional (if Shadow is lynched, investigate Emurlahn. If Emurlahn is lynched investigate Tennes) correct? Noted.

Yay! Correct.

Shadow fairly happy. He made a good case on Emur, Emur does look guilty, so not his fault he's wrong:

Quote

This may be precipituous, but...I am the king of saving my own ass! :D At least, until Emur turns up inno, and I've possibly killed another inno as well as them wasting a lynch on me as they inevitably will afterwards. So, please, PS, make Emur a killah.

More from the killers:

okidoki, will be back just before deadline.

Well it looks like Shadow is going to live for another day. Omtose says that he is going to have a hard on for Shadow tomorrow but we can deal with that then.
