Just watched Meet the Spartans. It was silly and cheesy, but actually made me laugh a couple of times. I wouldn't rush out to see it, but wouldn't leave the room if someone else put it on.

I thought it was bad, like close to awfull in places. But there were times were I was laughing out loud. The part where Leonidas kicks one celebrity after another into the black hole was great. The scene where the fat guy from Borat turns out to be the emperor and turns into something out of warhammer was also great.

yeah, there were parts of absolute crap, but a few laugh out loud moments. The running gay joke was funny, got old, got really old, got annoying, then got funny again. Comedic torture is fun.

I thought the idiots fighting by breakdancing was pretty silly.

Oh Kevin Sorbo, how far you have fallen. I saw him in a Sci-Fi original movie over the weekend too....

Hercules the legendary adventures. One of the best shows ever. They even had the great chinned one as a thief.

Watched Kung Fu Panda over the weekend with the wife... ABSOLUTELY loved it! It could do with some more action I think, but otherwise it is "The Incredibles"/ Brad Bird good.

Also saw "You Don't Mess with the Zohan". It's just about OK... some gags are laugh out loud - in other parts the movie is as dull as can be. Still, if you liked Borat, you will like it.

Saw semi-pro. It was a will ferrell movie, that sums it up. His schtick has worn thin. He's brilliant as a supporting actor (Old School, Wedding Crashers) but gets old when trying to carry a film himself (semi-pro, Talledaga Knights.) His recent run of sports movies are all basically the character.

There were a few funny points though. it was entertaining enough to watch.

Just saw Apocalypto. It was pretty good. Violent as all hell, at times it seemed a little gratuitous. Worth watching.

@RLY, yeah I like that film. :o

Just saw PS I Love You. Oh dear. The thing that made it worthwhile was that I was the only bloke watching with a room full of rather hot girls. So I didn't mind that part of it. The other thing was I was expecting a same old same old romcom or something, and it wasn't which was slightly refreshing. Still, I doubt I will ever watch it again. It wasn't that special...

Watching The Rock as we speak.

Sean Commery, poison gas that melts you and turns you inside out, lots and lots of explosions, a high speed chase with a supercar, and gun/knife fights.

There is no possible way of making a cooler movie.

I have decided to say screw Blockbuster and rent from Redbox. If you're unfamiliar, they're automated movie vending machines. Use the touchscreen, pick your movies, swipe your credit card. It's one dollar a rental, as oposed to five dollars a rental from Blockbuster. The only problem is they can't have as many copies in stock, so brand new movies are all checked out a lot of the time. For a buck though, sounds like a win. Plus I don't have the creepy Blockbuster guy trying to sign me up for their latest movie club crap every time I go in there.

One of the cinema chains over here does a good deal where, for I guess about $10 a month, you get to make a list of all the films you want (and you can pick literally almost everyfilm ever made), and they post them to you, 2 or 3 at a time. You watch, post back (free), and they immediately send you replacements. It's pretty good, we wrangled a years membership last year free through various schemes.

Watched Evan almighty. Cute, but not great. Worth a dollar to see, I suppose. Then I watched Cloverfield for the first time. Wow. I was impressed.Blair Witch plus Godzilla plus...I don't know, a little Halo? Excellent movie, and I'm not that into monster movies. Good stuff.

I heard they were making a The Sweeny movie, staring Ray Winstone and Jason Statham. Any one seen anything about it?
