Nice comments there guys, though I thought the movie was totally fine. It was certainly no less retarded and fun than any of the others. It was plain to see where Lucas weasled his grimy influence into the show though. No less than 3 usesless CGI (and poor looking CGI I might add) ground-hog scenes. Lucas must get such a hard on for CGI animals. He polluted Star wars with them...and it was probably only Spielberg that kept him from CGI-ing a different animal face onto everybody in the film.

My spoiled comments.

I'm quite dissapointed with the selection of films out at the moment... and nothing I can see that's particularly eye-catching until Prince Caspian comes out. Anyone else see anything good lurking on the horizon?

I saw Shakespeare in Love for the first time last night...

Three words: Gwyneth Paltrow's boobies! :o

Other than that...meh, I guess it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

True. But they are a rare sight... and certainly no less tempting for their mediocrity.

I watched national treasure II last night. I turned it off 30 minutes from the end not caring whatsoever if I saw the end. Holy shit it was dumb.

I would have liked it if I'd been 12 years old maybe....but it was a disney flick I guess.

It wasn't the plot or the premise so much, even though they were barely passable, it was the constant and amazingly contrived "oh we split up between the last movie and this one but now we're going to forget all differences and get back together as a happy couple again because of a treasure hunt". Fuck guys...it's only been done in like 500 movies before, figure out some new filler for your adventure movies already. Jesus. I could have written a better script with a frontal lobotomy and a dull crayon.

Moral of the story: don't bother with this one.

@Brood - The Dark Knight! :o

@Battalion - Hancock looks amazing. I can't wait for that one to come out. Will Smith is excellent, and the premise of the film is funny.

Saw Four Brothers last night. It was an amusing dumb action film. There was a lot of shooting and fighting and stuff, and I really enjoyed it. It wasn't anything special plot or character wise but it was just good fun. :p

I saw the Strangers last night.
We meet a nice little couple who we find nothing out about, then we meet a nice little group of sociopaths that we find out nothing about. We spend most of the move following Liv Tyler around, while she whimpers, doing god knows what. Running away, fighting back, trying to get help, who knows, she sure doesn't. To top it off, it ends where it began.

Cliched, predictable, and bad. Avoid it.

If you value your eyeballs, never let them bear witness to the disgrace that is Witless Protection (latest Larry the Cable guy offering).

Honestly, how does crap like this get produced?

Watched a sweet back to back thrill fest last night.

First was "The Fugitive" followed by "Lethal Weapon". Talk about a nice 4 hours after a long day of work. Sometimes the oldies are the best ;)

I quite like him in the Blue Collar Comedy tour, but I heard his films were just plain awful...

I just watched the Onion Movie. Sort of amusing, made me chuckle here and there but generally nothing speical.

Except for the fact that they have Steven Segal starring as "The Cock Puncher". Steven Segal IS the puncher of cocks.

Yesterday I was subbing for a spanish class, and watched Temple of Doom and Last Crusade in spanish, with english subtitles. No, I don't speak spanish. It was an interesting way to see them.

I watched The Spiderwick Chronicles. It was fairly entertaining. Obviously aimed at a younger crowd, but I enjoyed it. The special effects were OK, nothing over the top...it kind of reminded me of those Jim Henson fantasy movies from the 80s, just modernized.

Also watched Definitely Maybe with Ryan Reynolds (Van Wilder) and Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine). I was expecting another cornball rom-com along the lines of Whatever Happens in Vegas, but this one was actually watchable...not terribly so, but it had its moments. The early to mid-90s flashbacks to the Clinton campaign were particularly amusing to me for some reason. :o

And Be Kind Rewind: I found this one rather disappointing. I was expecting more laughs than I got. Instead, I got a cute, heartwarming tale about a community coming together to save its "heritage." And the "remakes" of classic movies such as Ghostbusters, Robocop and Driving Miss Daisy, while inventive, were not all that entertaining... Oh, and did I mention, Mos Def talks like weirdo through the entire film and Jack Black hams it up to an annoying degree.

And some more...I'll keep it short.

I found Vantage Point to be a serviceable and entertaining thriller. I liked the POV shifts and how it all unfolded...completely unbelievable, of course, but hey: this is the movies.

I couldn't make it more than 15 minutes into the Other Boleyn Girl, despite my healthy desire to see Scarlet Johannsen rip open her bodice. :o

I think that's it...:p
