Damian Lewis certainly has quite the eclectic filmography.

"Fortune favors the bold, though statistics favor the cautious." - Indomitable Courteous (Icy) Fist, The Palace Job - Patrick Weekes

"Well well well ... if it ain't The Invisible C**t." - Billy Butcher, The Boys

"I have strong views about not tempting providence and, as a wise man once said, the difference between luck and a wheelbarrow is, luck doesn’t work if you push it." - Colonel Orhan, Sixteen Ways to Defend a Walled City - KJ Parker

I watched A Family Affair on Netflix. No comment on the movie BUT seeing that Zac Effron has had work on his face made me feel SO OLD! The internet says he broke his jaw and needed surgery and that's why he looks so different - I assume the lip fillers must have got in there by mistake then....

A sequel to Space balls? Well obviously I'll be watching it but I never thought they'd make one...

Yeah this sequel is a series, and it feels a lot more like Drunk History than it does the original movie -- probably because Mel Brooks mostly passed the baton creatively to some relatively younger folks.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Is the movie industry dying or am I just more choosy. Five years ago I feel like I could see a movie every weekend. Not all of them would have major blockbusters but things would have enjoyed seeing.

Now I check the local theatre to see what’s showing, scroll through the 8 options and can’t find anything worth the trip (time) or expense to go see. Last two movies I saw were Deadpool (excellent) and alien Romulus (which was already a borderline choice). That was 3 months ago.

A bit of both. There's a lot more of everything out there, and while it means there's statistically likely to be just as much - if not more - good stuff, there's also a lot more shit. And sorting the wheat from the chaff is annoying, so we rely on our friends and some reviewers we might follow.
PLUS, times are tougher, so we're more choosy about where we spend our money.
Recently I went to the cinema for the first time since ... Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves. It was to see Deadpool and Wolverine. With my 11 year old son. Who I had made watch the first 2 in the preceding week so he would be up to speed (not that he resisted, mind you). I am such a lousy parent ...

Anyhoo, I was not aware Switzerland had a coast, or is that just a very big lake? And that it was so multiethnic in the 14th century. And Swiss women were such badass swordswomen? But there you go, as usual I display my woeful ignorance. :p
Unless it's a send up like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies? It does have Ben Kingsley and Jonathan Pryce though.

I just watched the movie "Lee". I heard it was Oscar fodder with Kate Winslet doing Oscar level lady acting so was expecting some strong Acting. It's all there but I can't believe that I never would have thought a woman would be out there doing that stuff during WWII. And the fact I didn't think it leads me to a massive fuck you to the patriarchy.

Watched not another teen movie there, first time since it was in the cinema probably.
Captain America looks so young!
It's a bloody stupid movie but we wanted stupid comedy and it hit the note perfectly for that
