Aw man, it's going to be about the kid from the first movie? I loathed that kid. I guess if it's set years later I wont be as annoyed by him.

"Honor him." If I was one of the fighters there that day, I'd be like - "what are you doing here you little shit? GTFO"

Watched THE BOUNTY (1984) as a result of being so knee deep in Age of Sail books...and the cats is even more insane than I thought, Anthony Hopkins, Mel Gibson, Bernard Hill, Daniel Day Lewis, Liam Neeson, Laurence frigging Olivier...

And it was REALLY good...but I learned a completely unknown thing to me about the whole ordeal...I think I always assumed the Mutineers of the Bounty (being so famous) were caught or died....but learned they actually escaped, and landed on an uninhabited (at the time) Polynesian island (The Pitcairn Islands) with some Tahitian women and men, Burned/sank the Bounty (it's stilt there) and started a whole society...which immediately degraded into alcoholism and sexual abuse and all kinds of terrible shit over the years...but that all like 50 of the whole islands inhabitants are descendants of the original 9 Bounty Mutineers and their Tahitian wives...

What a mental story.

Anyways, GREAT film.

More spooky season film groove, so I watched The Invisible Man (it stars the actress from that Handmaids show). It was meh, not horrible. Full of plotholes. Riveting tension and suspense for the first 45 min and then it steps on the gas from there. Got me to thinking about when asked as a kid what super powers would you choose, and when considering invisibility, if you're a boy, you think of only one thing really, but this film demonstrates that having the power of invisibility can be used in much more devious ways. You can gaslight someone to the point of full residency at a psychiatric ward at the local hospital.

Blumhouse movies sure do have a vibe or a feel that you pick up on and know right off it's a Blumhouse production. Also, since this was the invisible man, it got me to thinking about whatever became of the rumor there was going to be a UMMCU. Is that (or was it ever) a thing? And it it still happening?

Watched Nobody last night.
A fun film, just sit down switch off the brain and enjoy. If you liked John Wick, Polar or anything of that ilk, spend 90 minutes on Bob Odenkirks take on it.

huh, just became aware of a new movie opening directed by Ridley Scott called The Last Duel. Looks like it has a big name cast. Is it supposed to be any good? Supposed to be something to do with the last legally sanctioned duel in France's history or something. That according to the wiki anyway.

Shang-Chi was pretty good. Looking forward to Venom 2 and especially Dune.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

What was that thing she was talking into at the beginning? Is that one of those "land line" telephones?

I think the movie exposes its fundamental flaw. Home security would never allow even the approach of a killer into a residence. But, I guess suspend disbelief in the ubiquitous surveillance that surrounds us, grab some popcorn and knock yourself silly.

Why is Willis still making movies? I just don't get it. Is somebody blackmailing him?

I think it looks awesome. It's a role The Rock was made for.

I really hope the Rock got some excellent writers on it because it would be sad if it was "Meh".

Looks pretty intense! I'm still hesitant re: DC movies but I'd be willing to give it a go.

Is Black Adam a bad guy then? The trailer kind of makes it look like he's randomly into killing dudes.

He's a baddie and the nemesis of Shazam. This is all building to a Shazam V. Black Adam: Don Augustus movie.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Ahem, it's Don Cornelius. And you can bet your money, it'll be a stone cold gas.

Good on the Rock for taking on a Villain role, a few big names still shy away from it (Will Smith notably)
I enjoyed Shazam, so will give this a watch to catch the finale.

Watched Free Guy last night. A lot of silly fun, just switch the brain off and enjoy, don't over think the plot it doesn't hold up that well, it's just smashy shooty silly fun with Ryan Reynolds
