Meh, it was only a red-belly black snake. Those will make you sick but not much more unless you have pre-existing conditions. Plus it was a baby.
The only baby snakes you have to be wary of here are baby Brown snakes because they have the same amount of venom as adults, but no control when they bite so they'll blow the whole load, so to speak.
The good thing about red-belly black snakes is apparently they'll keep most other snakes away.
