Icarium is insane...
Who would have thought that?
Redmask is really dead.
Crazy theory squashed under the giant foot of juicy prologue...
Anyone else start thinking about the Shake when they read that kid has a belly full of creatures?

The leader, his audience still,
considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

I was thinking of D'rek.
Anyway, I am merging this with the Dust of Dreams prologue, because it's not closed and so the smartest place to do the discussion is in... you guessed it, the prologue thread!
This way we save the hassle and confusion of two big discussion threads.

Topic title edited for spoilers. Do not post spoilers in topic titles.

All I hear is bla bla bla, Grief...
Anyway, it amazes me how much better I suddenly feel about the Redmask angle now, after reading this prologue. I still think as a set-up, which we see it was now, it was very clumpsy and could have been pulled off in better ways. Like for example putting more focus on the KCCM and Redmasks trip to Kolanse in RG. But the awesome of the KCCM in this one makes it all better.
EDIT: What spoiler, Hetan?

I was wondering since I editted it 10 minutes ago after the merge, didn't notice anything spoilerific.

Thanks mal.
Question: HEBORIC is back? Hopefully he has lots of hte lord of death's 'justice' influence, and isn't as emo as he was in previous books.
That is not a good thing for Wu. Not at all.
KCCM should be awesome, their struggle to come to grips with the pantheon might be nifty, but if the matron is insane, watch her ally with the CG.

Epic!
Pre-ordering off Amazon.co.uk in the next day or two (just realized I never got around to it)...or is there a good availability from canada that'd be faster?
Since I don't even see DoD on amazon.com or B&N

So the short-tails crucified the otataral dragon? And are still making sure it stays there? Whoa....
What killed all the children's parents?
The seven thing might mean that Icarium's mind split into seven pieces or that he's haunted by six companions.

I wonder who/what the starvers and the bone-skinned inquisitors are?

I've already said, they are reminiscent of the Tenescowri in a way.

There's an obvious crazy theory to consider:
Icarium is, and secretly always has been, Dessimbelackis... dum dum dum
Also, YAY! PROLOGUE!

I'm thinking the Kids are escapee's from the Tenescowri (starvers) , bone-skinned inquisitors (K chain undead? or what was the armor the panionions{SP} wore?)
The souls in Icarium are the people who were near the machine when he started it. I think
