MODGOD NOTICE OF DOOOOOOOOMMMM

Mar 2009 - This thread includes one early 'prologue speculation' thread, then all discussion which followed in the 'Prologue discussion' threads once it was released. Actual Prologue discussion starts at POST # 52.

- Abyss, moddest of the mod gods...

-------------------------------------------
Made you look! Nyyyaahh! :D

If my calendar isn't completely off I believe we've reached the time of year where we start begging for the prologue of the upcomming book.

After a month or two of pestering Hetan, she might be able to drag the prologue out of the publishers. It took for ever last year.

Prologue, prologue, prologue, prologue...!!!

You sir, are a dick. That is all.

Prologue! Prologue! Prologue!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Boooh! I clicked it even while knowing that a topic started by Apt titled 'prologue' would probably not contain the real thing... I feel dirty now :D

I knew full well this wasn't the actual prologue thread. I'm still going to punch you in your gargantuan quivering vagina.

EDIT: Swearwords removed for Hetan's sake. Whether this is better is up to you.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Apt, what did you just gain from jerking us around like that?

You, sir, now have to give me one free muay thai kick to the thigh.

The prologue will get here when it does and I trust Hetan and the others to fire us up with free goodies in due time.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

I especially liked the all caps title. You got to do is as someone else next year though in order to fool more people....maybe Haten or Heatn or Nateh...hmmm

It's a perfectly relevant thread, dear Lisheo. Lets wait and see how many we trap.

I remember last year the thread got like a thousand hits in no time :D

But seriously, it took so looong for the prologue to be ready last year, what was it, June?

@L'oric, unfortunantly alts aren't allowed any longer, but if I was a Supermoderator :D

Jeers, sneers, and mockery should suffice.

Apt, that wasn't fair.

Hmmm, I consider deleting this, but I think you're right. The thread is relevant until it is answered, by someone with the latest info or something.

Okay to actually give this thread some substance.

Who or what are you expecting in the prologue?

I want a crippled god scene. And perhaps a scene with Icarium coming out of some rent stark raving mad...

Hmmmm... Well, the first part of the story is going to be in Lether, so I doubt anything will elude to that. How about some nice K'Chain hisotory, maybe the fight with the dragons or the cause of the Rent at Morn?

The cause of the rent of morn was explained in MoI. A matron decided it was smart to play with chaos, a KCCMs favorite past time when they aren't eating Eres'al, and she got sucked in.

Well, why was she fooling around with Chaos? It could still be discussing the magical powers of Matron's as we are led to believe they will be involved in the last 2 books, and the only example we have is nut-job Matron from MoI.

Icarium emreging from a chaotic rift with bleeding wrists would be cool. Gothos or K'rul all like "WTF have you done?!"
I'd like some history about Tiam. I reckon she may come back into play, cause i've got a theory taht what stops her is her blood being in other people, stops her coming back. But lots of dragons are dead, Rake is dead. Dragons blood seeps through the warrens. So, I think Tiam may come back at some point, when enough draconic blood is spilled.
