Yeah it is a pretty traumatizing event

and since i have an ancient xbox (since 2006), this is the fourth time it has happened to me. Amazing how it always chooses to break down in the middle of the night on saturday so that I have to spend the weekend with that evil red ring staring at, especially irritating when I'm in a multi-hour session with no save which once corrupted a 20 hour Dragon Age playthrough...My dwarf died that day, and till now I mourn his passing...
I got mine in 2007 - the one time I got the RROD was when the power in our house blew and the safety switch didn't work. Once the power came back on all I saw was red - I panicked - I grabbed every fan in the house and set them to blow cool air onto it (despite the fact it was close to 40 degrees and everyone was melting to death) and sat next to it stroking it and promising that if it turned back on a I would play Dragon Age through again in one sitting....I even sung to it....my family was somewhat concerned but thankfully when I turned it back on it was green across the board

The only downside to this is the fact that I still have but 20Gb of storage. Heck, if we weren't so damn close to the next gen of tech (at least, despite what M$ and $ony claim, I feel we should be seeing next-gen consoles in 2013, but if there's no news as at E3 next year, I might upgrade...) I'd be buying one of the sexy new 'S'/'Slim'/whatever 360s too.
Same - I keep having to choose between saved games which one to delete

I love my bulky white original though - I don't want the slim black one. I plan to get a special edition but they haven't released any that I like (including the current Star Wars themed one - though R2-D2 noises is cool!). At the moment Zeke is having issues - keeps having trouble reading media and the likes....I think he is finally feeling the effects of 30 hour gaming sessions over the course of the past 4 years. He just has to hold out til ME3 - it wouldn't feel right playing it on another console.....Then I'll retire him to a place of honour on my bookshelf.

And you're not complaining, you're criticizing. It's a side-effect of being better than everyone else, I get it sometimes too.
