I had to personally put down a horse yesterday. I hope I never have to do that again. I'm still pretty fucked up over it. I was the only person the horse trusted enough to let get close enough to put a gun to her head. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. It was the horse the woman I love raised from birth. So there was no way I could let her do it. I had her just leave while put the horse down and buried her. I loved that horse. Sometimes life really sucks.......

@Bubba - I cry when they put down injured horses at the rodeo.......I have no idea how I would manage to handle being the one that put it down. I hope you'll be okay. Also, I think it really shows how much you care for your partner. You're made of better stuff than most :D


My mood is messed by the fact that the second series of Dr Who isn't as enjoyable as the first (I'm not saying it isn't better, it just isn't as enjoyable....) :D

Have my final exams this week mon-wed-friday then the following tuesday. Not too bad but everyone else are spaced out and Ive only just finished my dissertaation (tuesday gone) that I couldnt get as much revision as id like. That coupled with a weird illness the last 3 days that had me falling asleep at all hours of the day, probably just run down, means I am worried for my last uni exams.

Messing with my groove is HD quality on a massive TV-screen.
Usually, that is a good thing. But bear with me...

I watched the footie match that decided who'd be the Dutch champion (and fuck yeah, Ajax finally wins something again before we lose our best players to Chelsea/ Man City!), but having to see the odd tattoos, strange collections of body hair, clumps of warts/ birthmarks and the roles of fat on the average bare-chested supporter every time there was a shot of the stands, well, that messed thoroughly with me.

I want back to my sheltered tv-environment, which is a world populated by perfect people and me, dammit.

Aw hell, Bubba, that can't be easy. I can only extrapolate from a similar, if a lot less severe, event (we had to put a dog down to sleep due to paralysis and treatment not working). Marks you as a Man that you had the guts to do it personally.




In less important news, my groove is delicately messed with because... searching my feelings, I can't come to a definite conclusion (so I can't say I 'know it to be true'). I guess I can just let shit happen and go with the flow with how I feel at the time.

I think Bubba gets the Stark award for this year. That's hard man, but at least you had the guts to do it yourself, I think that will be better in the end.

Gothos, meditation? I don't know, not sure if you can find it without giving up on desires for so many other things. A millpond is only serene because nothing moves on it.

My knee sounds like it belongs to a 80 year old woman, and my first four Malazan books do not match the rest of the series....hell, none of them match. Never bothered me before, because I've had them tucked away in boxes and such to save space, but now that i want to properly display them, it looks kinda stupid:(
