True, but do you get paid for those sick days?

Once you get, venturing outside into -25 for any significant period of time tends to prolong it

Absolutely, and today doesn't help, it's damn cold out there.

Damn.
FUCKING.
Cold.

I hate 'Realfeel' or 'Wind Chill Factor' numbers... -15 is bad enough, i don't need to know it feels like -27.

I actually like those numbers, I find it's helpful when deciding what to wear. (Like if it's 0 but feels like -10 I'd dress a lot warmer). If there's no wind it can make a big difference and not be as bad.
Granted at the moment wind or no wind it's still fucking freezing out so it doesn't help much after a certain point I guess

On the plus side, I'm sure Darkwatch is loving the weather. That guy has antifreeze for blood and I swear is related to that Elsa chick.

The real hot-and-shitty started today here. Couldn't think straight this afternoon, was so unproductive. All I could do was dinky little bits of work.
Having no aircon at work really, really sucks. ;)

Those things at the top of doors, that pushed doors close after you open them. Do they have a name?

-18°C wind chill yesterday and today. It was roughly 5-10 degrees above freezing prior to this. Very unpleasant for construction work let me tell you.

Oh damn it's happening. Another co-worker came in sick today, clearly having caught my other co-workers sickness, it's spreading! I'm so screwed...

I have a soft tissue sprain of the right thumb. It hurts like hell. I can't open jars, drive or wrangle my child.

I managed to tweak my elbow this morning opening a door of all things. I was on the way to the gym so that sucked. Managed to lift weights with little hassle but now a couple hours later the joint is just irritated as all hell.

I do not, generally, as a rule, tend toward road rage.

However, the Audi-driving fucktard this am who managed to force me to slam my breaks three times, the first so as not to kill him when he ran behind my backing up vehicle, second when he blew out of his parking spot behind me and around me AS I WAS PULLING OUT, and the third when he random-breaked in front of me... oh yeah... him.... him i want DEAD.

I have not had such a driving need to engage in vehicular pursuit with intent to cut off, frustrate, and ultimately DESTROY in a very long relatively violence and vengeance-free time.

A full hour later, with caffeine injected and ample other things to occupy me and still.... i want him DEAD.

And then tortured. SO MUCH TORTURE.

Stephen Hillenburg died. ALS. He was only 57.

Goddamn that sucks.

He brought so many such joy.

Replace it with a cyberthumb.

Something with built in wifi, multi-tool, maybe an espresso machine.
