I have a soft tissue sprain of the right thumb. It hurts like hell. I can't open jars, drive or wrangle my child.

Still hurts like hell. Still getting out of doing bath and bedtime for the sprog. Maybe my thumb will fall off?!?!

Time to do some of that home made surgery you're so famous for, Mezla. I remember you doing "open head" surgery years ago.

Just Christmas prep in general.

My family, who don't really meet up all that often, all shopping around for each other's kids, mixed in with my parents asking what presents to buy, and then forgetting and asking again two days later. Got to travel to see them next weekend; I'm halfway through tiling the kitchen floor and I'm going to have to leave it while I waste a load of time hunting for presents.

And on top of that I keep thinking about last Christmas, and trying to avoid anything like that happening again. Hopefully things are better now, but I'm not entirely convinced, and it's stressing me out.

If I had my way we'd all go on holiday somewhere beautiful and remote over Christmas and ignore the whole thing.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

A troublesome employee decided it was a great idea to contact the relevant government body with a question when I gave him an answer he didn't like. The resulting clusterfuck I have to find some way to entangle is the entire fucking reason we explicitly make clear that all contact with the government is to go through me or one of my colleagues.

"... we explicitly make clear that all contact with the government is to go through me or one of my colleagues."

So that's how you're pitching your little coup then?

Bravo, more power (pun intended) to you, if you can pull it off.

First exam tomorrow.

Never in my life have I felt this lost before going into an exam. That includes the 9th grade geometry final on which I got a 9.25/20.

You at least got around 50%. I used to just stare blankly at my geometry paper. It was all these squiggly lines and ABCs.

I'm sure the grade was out of pity rather than any display of knowledge on my part.

Geometry is BS.

Tell him to jump on here and explain himself. He's due for about his yearly appearance anyway. Do I need to freshen my "What ever happened to ..." thread to entice him back?Posted Image

Definitely felt like a repeat performance of the 9th grade exam. I had 75 minutes of time and needed a minimum of 150 mins to put everything down.

Feeling great (on opposite day).

You're gonna give me back-in-school anxiety nightmares.
When do you get the results?

Oh don't worry (not intended), I hold monopoly over the nightmares.

I hope I never get the results back? But probably in around a month.

It's been like a decade+, and i still get the 'walking to an exam, didn't study, don't know shit' nightmare once in a while.

Just got in after a very very long day.

A close friends father is in the hospital and is very sick. He is understandably quite shaken. Took a long chunk of time out of my day to give him some company.

To be fair it does look a little like a transformer. Perhaps it is a chicken too?

This is so terrifying to me.

My parents are both quite healthy, but from time to time I imagine getting a call about one of them being in the hospital and my hands start shaking.

Feeling very frustrated.

Tried to play some computer games after a long time. I thought I would try something other than my standard RTS games. So I tried Skyrim.

Despite having more than the minimum specs, the game won't run. I always wanted to play this game and this is so irritating.

What open world RPGs should I try? Morrowing? Dragon Age?
Also does anyone here play online MMORPGS?
