I think I'm going through the beginning of the end of my relationship of nearly 16 years.
It's bloody horrible.

If you can see it coming, is there anything you can do to stop it?

I can only try.
Fingers crossed.....

Sounds like a delicate situation. I hope you can salvage things though

Ouch.

In other pain-related news, I seem to have acquired a little cut around the rim of my septum piercing (8mm diameter), which is currently sorer than a Hetan at a Kruppe party (such appetite!) and crusty with blood. Wonderful.

So, further to this... Struggled through yesterday. Got home, reinforced the Kaos inside my snout with a steel tunnel. Went to be at half 11. Woke up at half 12, absolute agony. Had to dig the Kaos out of my nose as the fistula was starting to envelop it. Downsized to the 7mm, but fuck me, I've never known pain like it. Now at work and dosing up with co-codamol and ibuprofen.

You sure that its not infected or anything?

It's not hot to touch and there's no pussy discharge - just the bitter stench of blood. More likely I've nicked the fistula with a nail when taking the plug out to clean.

So many possible replies ... :(

Gotta love that word "fistula" as well. Sounds like an extremely perverted Transylvanian Count. :(

Hah!

Found the issue. I've nicked the fistula somehow. Oh well. It's not so bad today.

I just don't understand this cats logic. She will get in litter box turn around and stick her head out and piss with no problem but when she shits she goes in head first halfway in and dumps her load on the floor. It's better then on the couch or chairs but man I'm getting tired of mopping shit stains up every other day.

Our cat always did that too. Dunno why. I always thought it was done out of spite.

Cats are evil. There only goal is to bring about a civilisational catastrophe which will send humanity back to the darkness and they will once again reign supreme and be worshipped

Recent local news stories causing me to wonder many things. Gorefest will have heard of this, no doubt.

So, on Sunday night a 7 year old kid went missing near where I live (Locke Park is maybe five minutes' walk away). There was a massive news push to find him yesterday, however at 08:30 yesterday a body was found in a construction site about 3/4 of the way between Locke Park and where he lived. It's almost certainly the kid.

Now, a few questions spring to mind. Locke Park is 2 miles from where this lad lived. Why was a 7 year old out alone (with their friends, but still, no responsible adult from what has been reported)? It seems hugely irresponsible for them to have not kept tabs on the lad. And the body was found in a construction site; if a national newspaper is to be believed (probably not as it's notoriously unreliable), they were aware that this kid often went to the construction site to play when it was empty.

I feel horrible for what's happened but it all seems like it could have been avoided. :/

I know there's a massive difference between 6 and 7, but my oldest is 6 and there's no way I can see me letting him play 2 miles away by himself in a years time.

This story made me lurch inside when I read it yesterday.. Sooooo sad.
Can't help feeling it could have been prevented though....

The general consensus around the area is that the parents shouldn't have let them be out playing on their own like they were. Second-hand reports via people who know people (unreliable sources) state that the mother was often having loud, boozy house-parties. All pointing towards a lack of responsibility, in my mind.

Why shouldn't they? A 7 year old is perfectly capable of being out by himself. My friends and I biked around the neighbourhood when we were that age and younger, as our parents - and yours too, I suspect - did before us. 2 miles is longer than we would have gone I guess, though not by that much, but there's no way our parents knew exactly where we were most of the time.

I don't think this focus on more and more safety is at all healthy.

I've never known a 7 year old to go anywhere close to that far from their home. Might be different where you're based, but over here? Too many weirdies about for most parents to feel safe with it.

GMG today: Somehow lost my train pass which also has my debit card in it. Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck.

There really isn't. Or, there are less of a risk now than there was 50 years ago. People are just more afraid, mainly for rather irrational reasons in my opinion.

Isn't this kind of contingent on where you live?

I'd say so. Where I live is pretty rough by UK standard. Lots of white fellows attempting to emulate US gang culture and being hilarious in doing so, plus I live near Rotherham and we all know what happened there recently.

Pfff. I lived in Doncaster for a year. Nuf said.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Two trains have derailed in Madhya Pradesh, a state in central India. Incomplete details so far, but it seems to be very nasty.

Had a truly shitty day. Spent half an hour slogging through knee deep filthy water. My city is getting flooded by intense rain on the one hand and the rising river on the other. At high tide the river floods the city through the storm drains. Had the surreal experience of watching water bubble out from a previously dry drain and then start flooding the street.
