I seem to have lost the picture I took with me all baby-faced to start out movember.

Also, I pulled something in my back and now it hurts any time I push or pull with my right arm. You know, the arm I open doors with, and lift a fork with, and do everything with. (YES EVEN THAT YOU SICK PEOPLE)

Take 4 percocet for the pain and see if I can get off before I fall asleep? What a good idea, Canada-Man!

ugh
didn't finish the paper yesterday.

idiot coworker messed up his tally sheet, and I had to stay an extra half an hour after work to find his mistake. there were two of them. and he's a goddamn supervisor too, he only had a calling shift, b/c we only had 6 people working today. so, 7 with him. for once, I was supposed to get home early on a Sunday. except the idiot writes wrong ID number for one of his contacts, and messes up the installments schedule for another one, so that we're short $100 on the system. grrrr.

then, played soccer for 2 hours. great overall, though it confirmed my fear that I deffo pulled something major in my thigh. there's a reason it hurts every time I play. need to get it checked, but cba. argh.

now got home. want beer. need to research + write paper. The dilemma is bad, b/c after a beer i'll want to sleep, badly.

oh, and to top it all off, it's snowing. and I have a game tomorrow. Outside. even though it was supposed to be indoors. but they sait it would be another week outside, "because it's not supposed to snow"
arg

I think I'll have a beer, and then 2 cups of tea, to even it out, then do an all-nighter for the paper.
fuck class tomorrow.

Why is playing soccer in the snow bad? I've done it a few times and it's great. Like playing in the rain, except better.
I don't need to selectively quote.

it's good if you can be dressed for it. otherwise, it's a wet and miserable experience.
since i'm a t-shirt and a warm jacket kind of guy (I don't like sweaters as a question of principle), i'm not adequately prepared to deal with this particular issue.
also, the possibility of slides gone wrong and injuries resulting from these is increased. which is another area of concern, since I can injure people perfectly well without the added challenge of having to tone my game down b/c of the weather.

also, i'll concede it heavily depends on wheter it's solid, dry snow (good) or wet snow (bad)
based on what i've seen so far tonight, it's likely to be the latter.

anyhow, i'm startign my first all nighter of the season. I will be found throughtout the night in the Trickster.

2 hours, 35 minutes to get to work today, a journey that usually takes 70mins. Signal troubles halted the train for an hour, then we got the green light but someone had pulled the emergency brake so we had to wait for the driver to get clearence to go onto the tracks and reset it. Then it turned out someone had collapsed on the train so we had to stop at the nearest station and wait for an ambulance and wait while they treated the person before removing them from the train. Then more signal troubles and when I finally got off the train, I had to shuffle along for 15mins just to get off the platform as 3 trains worth of disgruntled London commuters tried to get up a single staircase. The only bright side to the journey was that 2hours on a train that normally gets me into London in 25mins meant that the tube was nice and quiet when I finally got on it at 10am and got to work at 10.30am only 75minutes late for my meeting!

I'm so looking forward to staying at my desk until 7pm to make up the lost work hours now.

My father (who is a Apple/Mac fanatic) was jealous of me getting an iPhone 4S...so he got one too a week later. Now his OCD is finding all kind of things that don't work the way he wishes them to, and he keeps coming to me with boneheaded problems with it that no normal individual would have problems with. It's driving me nuts as every day he comes to me with something else that I can solve in three seconds for him. I tell him every time that Google is his friend, but he's rather come to me and pester me about it.

You wanted the phone man, get your shit together an learn how to use it!

It's my first attempt to pass my driving test tomorrow. I'm a bit excited that I might be able to legally drive by lunchtime tomorrow but mostly I'm quite nervous. It's silly, the worst thing that can happen is that I have to take it again. Everybody keep your fingers crossed around 9.30am GMT tomorrow that I have to demonstrate my bay parking or turn in the road rather than reversing round a corner or parallel park!! I can do them all adequately for real life but not quite up to the anal standards of the Driving Standards Agency.

Just read about the Penn State scandal, and holy fucking shit everyone involved needs to be in prison yesterday.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Wow, that really sucks BK :)

Messing with my groove - I'm doing a really stellar job of NOT WORKING today at work. My brain just seems to be elsewhere, having left a vague sense of confusion and ambivalence towards anything and everything. Maybe backlash from having gotten about 3-4hrs sleep night before last?
