As many of you know I work for the police. I love the job but there are some drawbacks. Like when a 22 year old guy in the town you work in goes missing then you find him in an empty house 12 hours after he hung himself. Today was not fun... :)

That sucks. I'm just frustrated with everyone. There were more retarded vandalizing protests on campus today which meant that
a) I couldn't make it to class even if I wanted to
:) I couldn't turn in my paper that I spent all night on
c) The protests, which will cost a crapload to clean up after, are protesting budget cuts. Sigh.

Bummer dude, feel for you there. Reminds me of when I was in the State Emergency Service and we found this guy 3 days after he went missing in the wetlands during summer. He had hung himself with a vacuum cleaner power cord (Who uses that? Isn't rope easier to get?). A bit ripe, for sure. :)

The world would be a much better place if they would just let us shoot the lefty oxygen thieves. Also, I'd be a much better shot after all the live practice. :p

Hey, that oxygen should be equally divided up amongst all humanity!

TCG. Rabble rabble rabble.:)
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I CAN'T FIND FUCKING TOGS ANYWHERE. To clarify, I can't find any that fit me and hold the right bits safely in place for simple lap swimming, i.e. not to look good in, just to actually swim in. I AM GOING TO STAB SOMEONE OR SOMETHING.

You need DUCT TAPE

It's the one piece that comes in a roll! Guaranteed to fit your curves exactly! And in a swimming pool, you can tell when the edges cut into you almost instantly from the trails of blood and incoming sharks er, aren't likely to be electrocuted! Yes, that is a better consequence of wrapping yourself in duct tape and not equally bad at all. I am the salesmaniest!
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Illy, before I am willing to try this, you must duct tape yourself as if they are your swimmers, go for a swim and then REMOVE THE DUCT TAPE and see if you still think I should do that.

ugh
been ridiculously tired the entire week.
went out tonight for a friend's birthday, really felt like a waste of time.
Feels like i'm about to have one of those morinic "fuck., what am I doing with my life?" moments of depression. and I consciously KNOW theat they are stupid and pointless, and in a few days, i'll just ignore it and carry on with my life like nothing happened, but it's making me irrationally angry right now.

that, and i'm getting homesick. want to go back to UA. and that won't happen for another year. and in the back of my mind I realizre that that too is a pointless nostalgia, cuz I don't belong there anymore. and it's not gonna be anyhting like what I remeber it by. Fuck.

Roommate insists on sleeping on our couch - inconsiderate towards the drunkards among us (me). He's forcing us to go to sleep at a reasonable hour. Damn him...

My cold (or The Komodo Dragon Flu - as I like to call it) has progressed to the stage where I'm now coughing up great chunks of phlegm (or lung - it's hard to tell) Alarmingly enough, this means I'm actually getting better. It's no fun at all though...
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants.
