It's not that expensive. I only have someone come in for 2 hours a week to cover the basics for £10 an hour. When you factor in my non-existent social life due to having a kid I'm now spending money on getting my cleaning done that I used to spend on booze! And it would be worth double because now I spend non-work time enjoying being with my family rather than doing housework or being mad at Mr PigDog for not doing housework.

Dog deciding to use my book containers that my Malazan, GoT, Alera(fucking A), Williams books are in as a toilet again... thankfully his aim is lower this time and not getting inside.
Knocked the hell out him after I shoved his face in his puddle. Haven't whacked him like that in close to 9 years since the last time he growled and snapped at my just beginning to be mobile son getting to close to his food bowl. I didn't enjoy that at all or the scrubbing of my white carpet afterwards.

The showing in puddle thing doens't work so well I think. Dog's aren't good connecting things that happen some time apart. Like peeing and a little later being punished for it. It has to be a more or less instantaneous reaction for it to work. For most dogs at least. I grew up with hunting dogs and there was a lot of discipline involved. Only one instance of violent physical punishment that I can recall, for much the same reason as yours. One of our dogs growled at my younger brother when he was a toddler and the immediate and furious reaction from my step dad resulted in that being a one time happening. Dogs are lovely and loyal and wonderful, but they're also pack animals and predators and need to know to the very core of their being that they're at the very bottom of the family hierarchy.

That title sounds much cooler when read in a thick "Lethal Weapon II"-style Saffer accent.

@Cause: That was in London though, wasn't it? Might as well try and meet up in Japan. Same sort of inconceivable travel distance.

Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Smokers. Just smokers in general. Especially when they look at you indignantly when you dare to disapprove of getting a nose full of their shitty addiction. Reminds me of why I hate crowds so much.

I think a better title is "Batten down the Hatches" but if you head Northward I'll do my best to come to something.

You know when you properly lose your temper and lash out at an inanimate object and totally fail? I have had a very trying day and then an item fell out from a cupboard I opened and I tried kick it in a rage and I totally missed and my shoe flew off.
I could have laughed but you will be pleased to hear I doubled down and threw the other shoe and did a good storm out and door slam.
Now how to explain it to the toddler I have been trying to train out of mega tantrums who witnessed the whole thing.....

^^^^ This.
I can't stand cigarette smoke. Such a disgusting and useless habit. I had to file a formal complaint at my work when all the smokers would congregate around the entrance of the building (for warmth in winter) and I had to walk through a gross cloud of smoke to enter the building. About a week later a sign went up that designated a proper smoking area away from the entrance. Felt rather proud of my self for that. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Bank computer said no about the mortgage - despite the mortgage advisor themselves stating that everything was good in their eyes. So I don't know why, she's coming back to us today to discuss further though.

In the lead up to Easter, I found out this is a thing. *barf
I'd like to know how you're supposed to apply it. I mean, does it go well on a turkey club or ham sandwich? Or do you dip your chocolate bunny into it on Easter morning? Or do you just scoop spoonfuls of it from the jar into your gob?

Ugh! Tell me about it. I'm in Canada. Since legalization, we get randos smoking weed now in front of our office building. That smell is obnoxiously foul! At least before, people had some discretion and would keep it to their basements or a more tucked away corner of a park, but we're a professional building fer Chrissakes!
