The cherry sauce I made on friday is officially awesome. And while I am still debating whether turning it down was a good move or not, I was offered a threesome on saturday by the girl I was making out with.

OK. It's a dessert sauce, but depending on the seasoning you could make it work with duck or a paté, too.
So, take a load of cherries (anywhere between 200g to half a kg), get the stones out (aka chop them in half), half a litre of red wine (or port), add sugar ( I prefer spooning it in while I stir) & heat.

Additions: perhaps a stick of cinamon, a clove or even bay leaf could work (make sure to remove these well in advance or they'll be overbearing).

Keep cherries & wine boiling moderately until the alcohol is gone, then just keep it hot enough to reduce the sauce until it becomes really syrupy (took me around 90 minutes). Filter (or not). You can use the remains of the cherries as a compote-like thing, they should be full of winy goodness and sweet, but the syrup/ sauce alone is awesome to go with anything chocolaty, vanilla/ yoghurt ice cream or, perhaps, belgian waffles. If you do it as prep, seal the sauce and keep it warm au bain marie.

Thanks a lot! Will definetly try that out, sounds extremely yummy and reasonably easy to prepare for dessert while cooking the main menu. ;)

Did my 2 presentations today with a load of 11 yr olds and 17 yr olds who are applying for uni over the next few months. It actually went really well and gave me good experience for my aim of being a secondary school teacher.

Also I graduate tomorrow ;) . I put my cap and gown on earlier. I kept on saying 'Na na na na na na BATMAN' for obvious reasons and cant wait to do it 2moro.

All in all a good day.

I have no idea why, if it was him and two girls he's a madman and if it was him a girl and a dude, well, that's what the spitroast-high five maneuver is for.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

A bunch of friends and I went to see Winnie the Pooh with flasks loaded full.

IT WAS AMAZING. BEST MOVIE EVER.

And now that we came home to my house, my dad set out 2 bottle of wine with a note on them that said, to the effect of, 'here, drink this'.

And they're good bottles that he found today when he was cleaning out the basement. Awesome-good.

Yosh managed to finally get a doctors appointment, so I should be feeling relatively more informed by this afternoon. I think I might do some painting today since I'm still feeling rubbishy and there is a canvas I started two years ago and never got round to finishing, might be quite relaxing.

I just bought new china ink. Now, I hope this ink will behave, as opposed to the rather expensive ink I bought last time that clogs up my drawing pen and makes every line look fluffy no matter what kind of paper I use. That was rather annoying. Oh, AND I also bought some nice heavy paper. I should be set for the summer now.

This should be in the "messed groove" thread. If it was 2 women, you sir will officially have to hand in your man card.

@Morgy
I agree, it's like the Decline and Fall of the Malazan Empire or something. ;)

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Every time you say Lex a complicated series of confusions goes off in my head.
When I was younger (oh so many centuries ago) the show Lexx was played. At the time having mostly seen commercials and not the actual show I thought Zev's name was Lexx. The notion was disabused when I actually watched a few episodes on Bravo (this was before Space existed) and discovered that Lexx was the giant planet killing dragonfly ship.
Thus when ever you say Lex my minds eye sees you with, in order: Zev, Xev, Lexx and the actual Lex in your pictures.

It's amusing.
