Bittersweet really as it was my last day in work for Lancashire and the next time I put in the uniform (calm down ladies & Morgoth) will be on the island... Love my team here so I'm sad to leave them but so excited about the next phase of our lives!

What's the low down on the house move and everything what with all the crazy?

House move going ahead as there is no chain, the conveyancer works from a remote model anyway and the survey was done before restrictions. We have permission to move from the Manx government so we can go and we should finalise within the next month on the sale. Will be living with my parents for a bit but they have a huge house and loads of space so it should be a fairly smooth transition. We can then look at buying a place once things have eased off a bit but no pressure really.

I got a new friend that's been "joining me" past few nights I've been out burning my stumps. Can't get close to it or it'll go up a tree and stare down at me while I talk to it. Baby steps though just like with the rabbits that damn near let me get close enough to reach out and pet.
New friend is a raccoon.
Not that I would reach down to touch it but it would be cool to get it used to being in my proximity without running up the trees. And rabbits usually take off around humans in the wild it took a longgg time for me to be able to get that close. These got used to me and kinda stick close a lot of nights probably as a form of protection from owls and feral cats I guess.

...all I'm gonna say is if it climbs into your truck you might want to re consider the relationship.

Conversely, if that racoon is a witty back-talker, he could have a Guardians of the Galaxy thing going...so that's cool.

Realistically BK would more likely hack Groot to pieces then come back the next night to burn the remains while watching the stars.

Yeah, I thought so as well but I wasn't going to let him be Drax or Quill.

That's really good news. Congratulations! Milk that in-house babysitting for all it is worth, even if your are the only one allowed to go out for work.

A bit of rain just starting.
We got the ground works all sorted for the driving range this morning.
Was 3/4 days solid work gathering stones, levelling and all the rest but a wee bit of rain now then the forecast sun holding and it couldn't have worked out better!

It would appear I'm getting a modest tax return this year.
Gonna use it this summer to pick up a newer unlocked BlackBerry, before the manufacturing license runs out in Aug.

Solid bike ride today. Checked out a park I've been meaning to for ages, took some trail and ended up on a service road beside a highway. Had to take switchback paths through a field to get back to the streets. Almost 2 hours in the saddle overall.
Good thing, too, since next week we're supposed to be back to plus 10 for the whole week,
