65’ 4K $598. WOW May come back. Going to another store to compare. That would be a massive upgrade from my 49’

What brands are those? A quick look here and I couldn't find anything less than 3 times that price. Damn, we get ripped off in this country.

Is that guy's name Lightning Rod or is his name Rod and Lightning is his nickname, like Disco Stu.

Had a really lovely first session with the D&D group I found. DM is good, the vibe is very relaxed and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Feels so good to be back playing, I'd really missed it :p

We had a new player join as well as a new character (Buggy the Bear, the Bugbear Barbarian). Buggy had us in absolute stitches. The joining player took over an existing character but that character now sounds like Gilbert Gottfried. As an Aasimar paladin who is lawful evil.

My mind is somewhat blown by that last couple of sentences!

Everyone was new in the group (one who'd never played before, the rest of us range from having played once to several times before and having played other settings and what not) - but the DM really gave us a great hook to all gel and get to know one another as a party and he'd opened up monstrous races so we've got all sorts of weird and wonderful going on.

There's a minotaur fighter, a tabaxi bard and a fire genasi wizard who likes to speed off and not wait for the party. He cast Floating Disc at one point and we ended up with a brilliant running gag of the minotaur grabbing hold of the disc so he couldn't go anywhere - he ended up sitting on the minotaur's shoulders shouting instructions at one point too.

We've also ended up with two archer rangers as the completely new chap wanted to play one, DM said this was fine. He critical hit on his first attack roll and one-shotted the lizardman he attacked. Bard turned round, did the Matrix "come at me" to me and said "No pressure then". This has turned into a contest! :p

Our group is 2x Barb, 2x Sorc, 1x Bard and 1x Pally. The Tortle Barb (see my frustrated hair pulling in the Games thread) is about 7' tall and the Halfling Bard often rides around on him. Tortle also hates bad manners.

Bugbear Barb is being portrayed with a heavy west African accent. The player's delivery nearly killed us (I should probably stress that's where his family is from, but he's proper hamming it on for comedy purposes). Couple that with the Gottfried Paladin and it's just fucking chaos. The dragonkin sorcerer sounds like Bruce from Family Guy to boot.

Received an email today from a friend I lost contact with maybe 15 years ago.

And I didn't owe him money or anything like that.

It's so cool that you were able to get that blackmail material on your pimp.

Gratz, worry.

Now, you are morally obligated to pursue the American Dream: sell your newly paid off home and use the money for a down-payment on an even bigger home with an even bigger mortgage.
