I got invited to a job interview at wednesday. Would be well paid, unlimited, in close proximity and starting the day after my current contract runs out. Hopefully it will work out :D

Not timely limited to a few years. A lot of jobs in the environmental sector here are contracts for one, two or three years, often directly linked to the duration of a project. Once the project ends you have to find something new.

Oh, yes a permanent position is definitely better than a limited contractual one.

I've set myself a bit of a challenge. My dad and some friends are going to join me (not sure of numbers yet as to whether we'll set our own or go as part of an organised group) but we're going to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, and raise sponsorship for the local charity who provided my trauma counselling and I'm toying with tying it in to one of the bigger mental health ones like Mind, thinking people may be more inclined to donate to an established well known cause than a little regional one, and then just split whatever we raise.

Something the ex constantly threw in my face when my Fibromyalgia was bad was how much he wanted to do walking challenges and things like that "But you won't/can't do stuff like that" - I never tried to stop him. The fact he was cripplingly unfit had a lot more to do with it than my ability to join in, but that's by the by.

Psychologically having a challenge to work to and achieve will be great for me, but I also think there's just that little extra benefit in taking on something you've been told over and over again you're incapable of doing.

Looking to go out next spring/summer, so hopefully we all have plenty of time to get some training in. I'm reasonably fit but could do with getting quite a bit more walking in myself, and I'm probably the fittest of the bunch so far.

I'm genuinely really excited! Posted Image

I'm all about the multitasking.

Not being a fan of hills, walking or districts I can only offer moral support

I'm torn between horror and amusement.

I've never been one of those guys that can just 'pick up a chick'.

They exist.
Some are total scum who use all.kinds of manipulation and 'game theory' and some are just those horrible bastards that are genuinely unaware that they are the perfect blend of charming and devastatingly handsome.

But anyway.

What I enjoy is people watching.

Tonight Ive struck gold. There is a guitar and two guys trying their heart out with a group of girls so far out of their league it would be a scream if the guys looked vaguely awkwardly aware of it.

As it is, it's borderline tragic?

And then there the just unbelievably stereotypical continental creeps.

Almost like a pastiche

...can't enforce continental drift because you are on the same tectonic plate.

Or were you looking for something less catchy?
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Now that JNCOs are discontinued, they're probably worth a fortune! (In Faygo and glowsticks).

Did you?

Making me happy today - I went swimming last night (start as you mean to go on...) - bearing in mind with everything I've done NO fitness work at all this year. I swam about 250m in fifteen minutes and because psychologically ten lengths doesn't feel like a lot I was thinking I'd really lost a lot of fitness and was a bit disheartened.

When someone expressed surprise I went and looked into it further. Found a blog of a few people doing a structured program to work up to swimming 1km.... they only hit 500m six weeks in, swimming twice a week.

I do not have a fitness problem. I possibly have a death wish! Posted Image lesson learned - slower, and sort my breathing rhythm!

Killed one of the player characters in D&D (they came back after the fight). Literally took them down on one attack with a boss character and then the multiattack critted. Did more than their HP max in one go.

At my cousin's wedding. And they got their dog to carry the rings in.
Then she ran around the church getting petted by everyone after. Then was made sit down for the end bit. Didn't look happy about it

I do so love looking at the Weather Channel app in Sept/Oct and see the highs slowly start to lower as you scroll through upcoming weeks.

Complete opposite feeling in Mar/Apr as they begin to rise.

Hoping for another spectularly cold fall and winter like this past was.

Thank goodness! I am so sick of this ridiculous heat wave up here, wednesday was the hottest Sept. 5 on record in our area.
I am looking forward to a cool fall for sure, although less excited for winter...
