I was selected in the second drawing to participate in the Tokyo Marathon.

Better get my ass off the couch.
You’ve never heard of the Silanda? … It’s the ship that made the Warren of Telas run in less than 12 parsecs.

An article on sexing up democracy.... In the Spanish province of Catalunya, they come up with the following ridiculous tv-spot to encourage voters toa ctually go and vote (might be slightly nsfw if your employer is a total prude):

There is also a vid promoting Catalonian politician Joan Laporte (hmm, wasn't he heading Barcelona FC?) through a porn star (Maria Laprieda) who dances in her underwear through Madrid.

In Soviet Russia, the marathon runs you!

Huh? Is it like some sort of national draft? Can you squeeze across the border to Korea and claim assylum? :)

I got one of my staff a promotion today. Managing people is rubbish most of the time but occasionally I do something useful. I'm feeling smug :)

Why is it that hot shoes are so expensive and you know you will only really wear them lying on your back with your feet in the air :)

Thank you Mez, this made me laugh and brought some mirth to an otherwise mirthless day.

I bought a memory card for my phone, with my hard-earned money.
whilst enjoying a stroll on winter-filled Winnipeg for about 2 hours.

the fact that I can take 3 and a half gigs of music with me anytime now is making me happy.

Went to an awesome party last night. Me and three other guys dressed in suits and had nerf guns, so we pretended to be mercenaries. Badasses one and all. Coupled with friends, music, dancing good food and meeting some great new people, it was one hell of a night. Makes me realise how far I've come since last year. :)

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Two days off, a great cup of tea, I finally have the Fear Factory album from earlier this year, "Mechanize" and I'm off to meet some friends for lunch in about an hour. Chilled man...

There are lots of photos of me on Facebook. This does not seem huge but I like having them up there, because it means I can change my DP with asskicking regularity. Lol.

Just finished work at my unit. Going on 7 weeks leave before posting in to a new unit close to home. :)

I think I may just not shave for weeks at a time.

Now to pack my bags for the drive to Brisbane, supervise the packing of the rest of my stuff for transport (at Army expense, thank you wonderful taxpayers :pirate: ) to temporary storage at my new location (also at Army expense), and get the place professionally cleaned (it's a requirement, no matter how well you clean it yourself).

Then I am getting the fuck out of here!

Oh, I also got $2100 for the move.

Oh frabjous day, kahloo kahlay! :p
