Well...
It's been a number of years trying and we've suffered a miscarriage but yesterday we had the twelve week scan and I can confirm that we're having a baby! So far everything points to it being fine and healthy. I am so blessed and grateful. Due date 8th December.

Yes I learnt everything I know from the Malazan Forum!
Thanks once again chaps, it is both terribly exciting and utterly terrifying. I think basically I'm going to have the forum help me bring this one up. First things first: You guys get to decide the name!*
*I have not asked Mrs Tiste this, it may not actually happen...

I don't really care what you name the child (so long as it macros)
What I concede about is that you follow correct procedure in the hospital delivery room.
As the doctor pronounces the child's sex (you have a bouncing baby....insert gender here etc) you must seize the baby, race to the nearest Balcony and display them to the world in all their blood covered glory, roaring "WITNESSSSSSSSSS' the the awaiting masses

That he's not!
WHMMHT: Booked my cottage for my slightly mad adventure holiday for my 30th next year.
This year has been horrible for me and mine so far, so I think it was the final shove to just book it and be that little bit braver than normal. Amongst more sedate stuff (I'm a big one for National Trust/English Heritage type stuff when I'm on holiday), I'm going to be doing a day of falconry on horseback with the Dartmoor Falcons, and going for a six or seven hour trek over Dartmoor on a Clydesdale horse one of the days too.
I've been working on it a few weeks, but it feels real now I've booked the cottage!

As my better half would say "Do it, you only live once". It's how we always book crazy holidays. Exciting!

I've never done this before so I'm not sure, but this does seem like the only sensible option...
