Despite my enormous, long absences, I still have an average post per day of 0.94. That's right. I've been here for 11 years, disappeared for a number of those, and yet I still posted so much that I still have an average of almost one a day.

At least :D. You have around 3.5k posts, and I can remember you hitting almost 1k just in one game. So yeah, 3x might be a conservative estimate.

What are you up to these days anyway?!

Please, Cause, I beg you...as prestigious as it may seem, quit your job working on Ebola and join the side that is working to eradicate Ebola.

Flippin' yes! It's roasted chili season in my neck of the woods! That means pork green chili, cheeseburgers smothered in green chili, burritos smothered in green chili, green chili enchiladas! And so much more!

Oh, and guys, if you are looking for an ideal hang over cure, there's nothing like fried eggs smothered in green chili with plain white bread toast and black coffee to set you right. FLIPPIN' YES!

Congrats, Cause, that sounds dangerous and heroic, somehow.

As for me, I have eaten paprika and have not had an allergic reaction. Hell yeah!

Hear! hear! It's one of the most versatile dishes. If I could capture its essence in a cologne, I'd bottle it and get my chili mac daddy grove on.

I'm going camping in two weeks. I haven't been camping in 17 years! I am so freakin' excited about it! We've chosen a fairly remote spot too - no power, no water, no communications, no anything. No kid, no partner, no responsibilities.

It's going to be glorious!

More bittersweet than happy, but End of Mission for Cassini at 7:55 AM EST. Above and beyond at 77,000 miles per hour.

I'm on a youtube Frankie Boyle binge. God that man is funny. It feels like he's on a never ending quest to discover the most offensive sentence possible.

So 2017 is back on track! Kicked cancers ass and got a job right after getting the PhD. Im now a medical research scientist working on Ebola. The lab is the only biosafety 4 lab on the continent and I should get some training to use it soon. Should be good on the CV.

Also my puppy loves me!

Little devastating to learn that Morgoth may be off the market though!

On Saturday I decided to finish the book I was reading on my Kindle (The Dragon's Path) and after I do I see that it's only at 46% read. So I'm confused, wondering what happened to the other 54%; I skip ahead past the acknowledgements and preview of book two and find out that my ebook included a free copy of Leviathan Wakes. Not just a few chapters, but the whole book! I was so happy, considering that I only paid $4 Canadian for the ebook, and I'd been meaning to read LW for the longest time.
I don't know if all of the e-versions of Dragon's Path came with this bonus book, or if I just happened upon it by accident, but yay.

Free books make me happy.

Going to be in Edgware London England from the 20-24th for the wedding festivities of my gf's cousin. Very much looking forward to being on vacation for the first time since March.

Hoping to get to the Tate Modern museum and Mill House BJJ as well. Very excited for this trip.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.
