Still on cloud 9 (which, given the post in the groove thread is a grey lined silver cloud...). This girl is amazing.

Slightly tipsy, in front of an artificial fire pit, and most importantly, not a fire pit at my place...

Babes in the woods who keep walking into trees.
Yesterday I had a 15 minute convo with my close to 70 year-old aunt about how to like pictures on Instagram because she swore up and down that she had liked a photo that I'd posted on Friday night, but I didn't see it. So after asking her about ten times "are you sure you're looking at the icons right under the photo I posted?" and her saying "yes, of course I am, but every time I tap the heart it sends me to a list of people I might want to follow!" it turns out that she wasn't actually in the right place...she had been using the icons at the very bottom of the screen instead. This happens every time there's an app that she's unsure how to use; when she first joined FB about 2 years ago she would literally call me just to ask questions about how to use it.
So anyway, if we do get some good karma by helping old people figure out electronics / phones / apps, I might have gotten a nice helping yesterday.

So 2017 is back on track! Kicked cancers ass and got a job right after getting the PhD. Im now a medical research scientist working on Ebola. The lab is the only biosafety 4 lab on the continent and I should get some training to use it soon. Should be good on the CV.

Please, Cause, I beg you...as prestigious as it may seem, quit your job working on Ebola and join the side that is working to eradicate Ebola.

Working in a level 4 lab gets you closer than most to accidentally causing a viral apocalypse. Congrats all round even so, Cause!

Despite my enormous, long absences, I still have an average post per day of 0.94. That's right. I've been here for 11 years, disappeared for a number of those, and yet I still posted so much that I still have an average of almost one a day.

Flippin' yes! It's roasted chili season in my neck of the woods! That means pork green chili, cheeseburgers smothered in green chili, burritos smothered in green chili, green chili enchiladas! And so much more!
Oh, and guys, if you are looking for an ideal hang over cure, there's nothing like fried eggs smothered in green chili with plain white bread toast and black coffee to set you right. FLIPPIN' YES!

Congrats, Cause, that sounds dangerous and heroic, somehow.
As for me, I have eaten paprika and have not had an allergic reaction. Hell yeah!

Hear! hear! It's one of the most versatile dishes. If I could capture its essence in a cologne, I'd bottle it and get my chili mac daddy grove on.
