Follow-up with my specialist.
No longer need physio- that's a plus.
Since I already developed some osteoporosis, it's not odd that I don't have full extension- it's supposed to take longer. Plus I got prescription for a splint to regulate and basically force-push the joint open. Hopefully the insurance will cover it.
The upshot is, of course, that it's theoretically possible to get a full recovery, as long as I work on it,

I had a day out being a professional type person. Feels like such a treat when few and far between but torture when you have to do it full time.
Still. I got to wear a new outfit and everything. *cough* not because I don't fit in any of my old work clothes *cough*.

Had my second baby today, a healthy baby boy.
They may cut your dick in half
And serve it to a pig
And though it hurts, you'll laugh
And dance a dickless jig
And serve it to a pig
And though it hurts, you'll laugh
And dance a dickless jig

Wow, to have a baby and already be up and about posting. That's dedication!

Congrats Sheve!
As for me, I'm happy because right now there's a bird chirping outside my window. Considering that it's February and normally very cold where I live, this is a rare ocurrence.
Also, my closest friend got a good job offer last night, so she's going to be moving onwards and upwards soon. I'm very happy for her because she really was fed up of her current job, but I'm also a bit sad because we've worked in the same building for close to 10 years (she was one of the people who helped train me, before she changed departments). It'll be a major adjustment for us; no more spur of the moment emailing to say "hey, wanna grab lunch today?", and so on.
I guess the word I'm looking for is bittersweet. I know our friendship will endure, and I am glad that the stars are aligning for her, because she's had a rough time of it.
ETA: Just as I finished typing this the bird stopped chirping. I wonder if that means I should move this to the "Messing with your Groove" thread, hahahahaha.

They are filming the hotel scene!
I mean, I didn't see them filming but I talked with one of the crew and he asked can you guess which scene we're filming?
I answered and he responded, "I can neither confirm nor deny." With a grin.
OMG I love Netflix.

I got one of my buddies to take the plunge and try the Dresden Files. He's only about halfway into the first book and texting me about how much he loves it.
Her has no idea what's coming.

Disappointment? Disinterest? An inability to finish the second book?

Loki you are confused. We'll actually book 1 and 2 are garbage. But Dresden pays massive dividends with time

1 & 2 are the only good ones, cuz they're actually detective novels. After that the premise gets dropped for pure urban fantasy w/ only thin surface nods to anything detective-y.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Merits and demerits of the series aside, I'm happy because I finally got him to start reading some books that I've been telling him he'd enjoy for the last 3-4 years now.
