If they ever make a Malazan film, Kallor should be played by Samuel L Jackson.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

This means we need an equally-disgusting man to play Pust...

While not so mind numbingly ugly, i'd suggest Dustin Hoffman to play Pust, Think of Rainman with a bit of Hollywood Cosmetics and hey-presto.

Samuel L Jackson for Kallor ? right
I'd think more like Kalam
I'd like David Thewlis for Tayschrenn
Gary Oldman as Whiskeyjack
Christopher Lee as Hood (watch him as Death in "The colour of Magic")
Bruce Willis as Captain Kindly !

"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

Surviving BB's
Whiskeyjack= Jeremy Irons
QB= Djimon Hounsou
Kalam=Michael Clark Duncan
Blend= Charlize Theron
Fiddler= Ralph Fiennes

Stormy as John Rhys-Davies-they're both hairy and grumpy.

(AND MY AXE)
To continue the LotR theme, how about Bugg as Christopher Lee?

You have got to be kidding me. Bugg looks like an old, workman with strong masons hands and arms, a paunch and I think he's losing his hair.
He's not a wiery, evil looking, whitehaired creepy guy,

How about the guy from Resident Evil, Oded Kafer, I am quite sure I have writ his name wrong but you will know when you see him. He played the camel jockey back in The Mummy one.
Well, tall, gaunt, suits long hair. And has this nasty streak to his face and eyes.
There`s my choice for Kallor anyways.
