Cotillion should be Christian Bale...he could be very charming in the Batman movies, and Cotillion, while not slaughtering people with his rope, is quite charming.

Alternatively, he could play Brys Beddict...sems martial enough.

I think Bale's best roles are characters with suppressed intensity...like in American Psycho and, for that matter, Batman. I dunno which Malazan character that would amount to.

Haha, come to think of it, even Bale's most lighthearted role (in Newsies) where he's singing and dancing, he plays a character with suppressed intensity.

Ah yes, good choice. Who should play Karos Invictad? Whoever plays Mallick Rel, I reckon...I'd wager they look exactly alike. The only difference is the colour of their silks.

What a great thread! - The difficulty is trying to do justice to the characters we all love (and love to hate). A few names to consider

1. Iskaral Pust - Rowan Atkinson
2. Tehol - Ric Mayel
3. Kruppe - Matt Lucas (Little Brittain)
4. Antsy - Adrian Edmonson
5. Tayshrenn - Alan Rickman
6. Sorry - Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Hero)
7. Fiddler Kieffer Sutherland (sorry to bring him up - but could physically pull him off - maybe?)
8. Quick Ben - Will Smith?
9. Kallor - Harvey Keitel

Harvey is evil enough looking and the right age for Kallor and has an on screen history of being a hard man - could pull it off (with a stunt double)
