All the Marvel shows on Netflix cancelled? Never watched them, but I guess I'm not surprised by that.

Yeah, Disney wants to move content to their own channel. Netflix is collaborating with a.o. Mark Millar to generate alternative superhero content.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Marvel and (perhaps arguably) Star Wars would probably disagree with you.

Both have been watered (and dumbed) down and made easy consumption pablum, and booger eating kid friendly. I like muh stories with some edge. Not a bunch of Fart Warts who swing glowing dildos around and go pew pew pew at one another and fail. Go to the shooting range for fuck's sake.

Oh, if you haven't guessed, I don't consume my entertainment based on box office receipts or fan boy short jizzing excitement. You probably think Justin Bieber is great too based on that criteria, huh? You can have be back, take him please.

You shut up about Justin or we are going to have a serious problem.

I can't tell if you're being serious or sending people up? When was Star Wars ever not this?

When Han shot first?

Other than maybe EMPIRE, Star Wars has always been easy consumption pablum and booger eating kid friendly... or, y'know, easy to watch family friendly entertainment.
Dress it up in expanded universe whatever as much as one wants, at the end of the day you still have Ewoks.

Similarly, Marvel movies, from IRON MAN on, have never been wildly dark edgy adult fare. Maybe not for the booger crowd, but hardly BLADE RUNNER.

Sorry losers, I only watch EXXTREME FILMZ for COOL BOYZ. I built a projector into my half pipe so I can watch BOX OFFICE BOMBS exclusively while I shred. If you're not into that, you must like seminal Canadian adult contemporary songstress Anne Murray.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

On that list, losing American Vandal and Channel Zero both really sting. Did anyone watch Nightflyers? I liked the novella but wasn't sure how it could be turned into a (non-limited) series in the first place.

Zigackly. The 'goofy comedy isn't for Star Wars' line of argument has never made sense in a universe where the only two characters to appear in every single film are Threepio and Artoo. In fact as someone pointed out on twitter the other day the establishing scene of the entire series involves the pair of them wobbling about distractedly throughout an otherwise po-faced firefight.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

We had Nightflyers sitting on our DVR for 2 months or so before my wife and I finally watched it. It was pretty decent, although I had known going in that the beginning of the first ep is basically the end and everything else fills in how they got to that point. It may have been rather annoying to discover that in-show. The way the series ended I suppose left the possibility for more but I don't know if that was the intention. Maybe it depends on how "S1" was received? There were some interesting things about it and most of the performances were pretty good. I know nothing of the source material, though.

Oh man, agree. I was waiting for them to do The Smiling Man on Channel Zero...some GREAT creepy pasta's they could have done too....the silent screaming woman at the Royal Guard...

On 4th episode of Titans.

Rachel/Raven comes across a bunch of weird people living at some weirdo doctors house.

Is Rita meant to be Clayface I wonder?

And who is Doctor Caulder? I assume his freak show is from DC comics?
