Where is he?
He's dead.
Could be anywhere then.
I watched that movie so many damn times as a kid, hope this is just as good.

Lucifer back on, watched the ep with his 'wife'.
This show has suddenly lost it for me... so formulaic, I was just watching without any real investment as it's so predictable - they're even re-using some of the jokes from season one.

What? That ep was funny as hell. I love the show myself. This weeks was the 1st real let down in a really long time.
The show is treading water. All the characters are there, but nothing is actually happening. They're running out of ways of stalling the on/off relationship between Lucifer and Decker; and the fact that he's even Lucifer has kind of taken a back seat. To the point that even if they do now try to bring in the 'Father', he will be some actor we know who merely arrives and instigates some more family issues. There may even be a murder to solve at the same time.
I just want more of a main story arc. I suppose going back to Lucifer after reading American Gods and Anansi Boys highlights the contrast - which is weird because this version of Lucifer originated with Gaiman.
There's so much potential for having Gods etc walking around in human form, and all we're getting in the tv show is the 'what do you desire?' moment in every ep. I sure hope it picks up.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

The local PBS station has started airing the first season of The IT Crowd. I've watched the first three episodes from season one. Some of the ancillary technology that completes the setting of the show is outdated now but it's a pretty funny show, as it's not really about the tech per se, but more about the goofballs that make up the IT dept. Damn though, the humor is soooo fucking British that I'm sort of put off by it at times.

I don't think the IT Crowd is brillllliant -- it's definitely a very stagey sitcom, once you get down to it -- but it's very funny fairly often. Rhythmically it's not really far above like 2 Broke Girls; it's just that instead of the worst writing known to man, they decided to make the jokes good.

I know it has its own thread, but I'm staying away for spoilers.
What's the consensus on The Leftovers? Need something new to watch whilst I'm home alone and I thought it looked interesting. Plus hbo is a pretty solid bet.

Season 3 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is out! Hoping for an even better season! (S2 was better than S1 IMO.)

S3 is great so far (I'm about halfway). The more Titus the merrier, I say!

Starting watching the BBC drama "Three Girls" about the Rochdale child sex abuse scandal. I previously read "Girl A" by the victim who managed to get it all to court. It was a very uncomfortable and harrowing read and this drama follows that story more or less. It is not a pleasant or enjoyable viewing experience but it is brilliant.
The acting is stunning and while I could not say I liked it, I was so intently involved. Definitely recommended if you can get it in your countries - it's on iPlayer.

They did a live tv version of DIRTY DANCING (a film that plagued my childhood, with my sister and her friends constantly watching it! Arg! Young-me was not impressed! Why can't we watch EMPIRE STRIKES BACK!)...and as hokey as it was and as poorly as it was reviewed...it made my terminally ill mother-in-law smile for the first time in about a month. As far as I'm concerned, that makes it a win.
