He already appears in middle of Season 1. His character as the rival saloon owner has taken a pretty dark turn. I thought he was interesting in the first season as a mirror to Ian McShane's business but now he seems like more of just a covetous, paranoid sociopath.

Damn, i forgot they came into the show that early.

Must be the universes way of telling me its time for a re-watch!

Finished Deadwood Season 3. Still a good show but I understand why it was cancelled.

They spent two seasons writing a weaker story than season 1. Season two, you have Ian McShane's character out of commission half the season. This means the criminal master mind-plotting that was so great is put to the way side.

Then in season 3 they spent all their energy worrying about and working around this Hirsh character (which was a real person I learned). Which was a load of bullocks. Maybe there was some finer detail about the politics of the region that slipped me by, but I don't for a second believe that one of the actors in that town wouldn't have murdered Hirsh in episode 1, let alone spent all that time worrying about moving against the man. Even as he just became more and more settled in.

I wouldn't have minded watching a 4th season but I hate when writers don't understand that there is a difference between creating an obstacle for your character and creating a situation that frustrates or bores the viewer.

Almost everyone in it was a real person.

I think you've missed just how important a person George Hearst was (and is supposed to be in show), though and, yes, some of the finer points of the politicking going on with the town trying to join the US proper on its own terms rather than being just subsumed, which is definitely what would happen if they murdered one of the richest men in America. It's there in Al's speech about being dangerous as opposed to powerful.

I disagree with you in general though. I thought season 3 had a weakness in the Bryan Cox theatre troupe character, but other than that was amazing, though season 2 was my favourite and is my favourite tv show season ever.

The movie is in the works, but Milch had better get a move on with the scripts, he's been writing them for like 18 months now.

Really pissed off at news that something went down in Paradise involving Corrine and Demarco... apparently a producer was so appalled after watching the tape they let the entire cast go and shut down production! Paradise is my favorite and now we probably won't even get it this year unless this is just some publicity stunt. They didn't release the reason the producer did this.

I read this, and I knew you'd be disappointed. Sorry man. Sounds like something heinous went on though.

I'm interested. Oliver Stone is a little on the nutty side, but he's also someone I imagine isn't intimidated by anyone. How long is this? If it's 4 half-hour episodes that'd be cool. If it's 4 one-hour episodes that's probably overkill.

And every word out of Putin's mouth would be a bald-faced lie. I have no interest in contributing to his propaganda.

I think the only merit in such a project would be if body language experts did the subtitles.

Heh, then again he's such a sociopath he can probably lie like a champion. Unlike his bestest buddy Trumputinstiltskin, who lies just as much, but not particularly well.

It had to have been bad indeed. Rape came to my mind when I heard this. Corrine was the number 1 reason I was so excited for this particular season. Hope everyone is ok.

Now says allegations of misconduct

Sounds like she and another contestant got blackout drunk and had sex...which she doesn't remember (he does). But she's not blaming him since she said they were both drunk...but she is lawyering up against the shows producers for not protecting her. Seriously, what kind of fucking asshole cameramen and producers just ALLOW two completely inebriated (and therefore not in their right minds) people to get involved on that level and not think to stop it?

^This. 100% this. ANY press this guy gets is a bad thing for everyone else in his country and the world. Let no one forget that he's essentially held onto power LONG after he should be gone. He's a dictator, full stop.

Also, Oliver Stone lost his marbles YEARS ago. He hasn't made a competent film since the 90's, and hasn't exactly been the most liked individual making films these days...and to be totally honest, I'd be unsurprised if he supported Putin.

Going by the rules of wild life photography it's best to not interfere in the natural biological cycles of reality TV animals.

I'd ask, how the hell is it the programs job to protect a contestant from getting drunk and fucking somebody? Hell, that stuff would be a just another Tuesday in some of the shows we have here in Denmark.

For a fair number of legal reasons I'm sure, most of which have to do with the cameramen and producers almost certainly being on the scene when this occurred.

Aside from all else, a blackout drunk person can't exactly consent to such a thing. It sounds like the Corinne person says she did not consent. That's a fairly big deal.

For the same reason you don't let this kind of shit happen to your drunken friends...it should not be let to happen here.

Example: At my highschool prom, my date and I shepherded a good friend of mine through being hammered...and away from a slovenly guy who was trying to take total advantage of that. It's simply not done and not something I was about to let happen on my watch. And she thanked me profusely the next day for making sure that nothing occurred with him.

The BachParadise thing is going to turn into a full blown three ring circus, complete with clowns, elephants and a high wire act.
I'd be amazed if anything ends up in front of a court tho'.

This I'd assume was covered by the contestants signing away their dignity, when they enter a reality show.

I haven't read any article on it, I just went by your description of the event above. If they were both drunk as shit, talking about consent is pretty silly. I think we've had that discussion before in that discussion board thread.

Paradise Hotel, Big Brother, Kongerne af Marienlyst, etc. I don't watch this stuff but it's impossible to avoid it. Thankfully my parents never got into watching that stuff.

EDIT: Kongerne af Marienlyst (The Kings of Marienlyst) was basically just a show about young people going to a breach town, getting drunk out of their minds, fighting with one another, exposing themselves, fucking one another and puking everywhere. Felt like my teenage yars condensed into 30 minutes.
