Finished it up last night. Really, really friggin good.

I’d agree about the DC. Probably the only thing theyve put out that I really enjoyed (easy with the WW backlash, it was just ok).

Wrapped ip Wandavision also, which I also enjoyed. Id put it near the top of the Disney Marvel shows.

Hawkeye
Wandavision/Loki tossup

Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Just wanted to thank this convo. I was skeptical of Vox Machina from the preview on Prime, and had heard of Critical Role but didn't know they were tied together, so just thought it was some random fantasy animation show someone made. I don't always like "6 different types of people all travel around together for forced reasons" DnD aspect of some fantasy stories (though it's awesome with Silchas Ruin in 7).

I'm up to episode 5 of Vox Machina and it's great. I'm really enjoying it.
With this, Dragon's Blood, and the FUCKING GLORY that is Arcane, some great animated fantasy fare this year. Best ever, even.

Watched through Station Eleven -- agree it's (mostly) pretty good! It occasionally indulges too far into indie-quirk that can land with a thud, but there's lots to like.

EDIT: did NOT know the first season was Kickstarted.

They'd originally wanted to raise 750,000 to make a 20 minute special. They ended up with 11.3 million.

Just wrapped it up also. Fucking perfect. I even expected alot and i still loved absolutely every second of it.

Me too, my excitement for the show going in was massive and it never dipped once throughout the 12 eps... they totally nailed it...

Spoiler

I enjoyed it too, reminded me of The Leftovers (which I loved) and it turns out some of the same people are involved in both shows.

Helps that Mackenzie Davis is a great actress too.

Here's hoping that they'll turn the Adventure Zone podcast into an animated show at some point, in that case. They've got comic books.

Finished Peacemaker. Great series. I hope they make more seasons.

Afterwards I tried watching And just like That, the new continuation of Sex in the City. But the girls had gotten way too old and awkward. So instead I watched the original first episode of Sex in the City.

I'd forgotten how hot young Sarah Jessica Parker was. The show isn't bad either. It's incredibly 90s.

I haven't started And Just Like That, but I never watched the 2nd SatC movie and that's what I'm dreading, even if the new show is a comparative return to form by any measure. Just a big rotten roadblock in its way.

Never re-watched the show either though, how do the Man On The Street segments feel? Do you wish they had kept them through the entire show or is it good they got dropped?

I did just start Peacemaker, coincidentally. It's fun so far, but maybe sometimes a little too jokey in a visible-hand-of-the-screenwriter kind of way. Just gotta roll with it I guess, as it's still all around good so far. It's fun to see how game John Cena is for just about anything.

They came with white hands and left with red hands.

According to my wife and her friends....it is not any kind of return to form.

It's apparently a study in how to completely destroy your characters by making them largely unrecognizable assholes - some of which seems to stem from Cynthia Nixon's Exec Producer/Director powers and her being completely hell bent on changing Miranda into someone more reflective of her in real life [LGBT)... by hook or by crook even if it means turning Miranda into the worst and most selfish asshole you've ever met to do it.

The general gist seems to be "They should have left this story and these characters well alone".

Ole lady wanted to start Ozark, so we're starting Ozark. I've always enjoyed Jason Bateman, we'll see how it goes.

Bateman's been good in everything I've seen him in.
Enjoy Dragon's Blood!

Overall, I preferred the earlier eps of Vox Machina but I still enjoyed it a lot. I like Keyleth.

Now I must decide on Avatar: TLA which I've never seen, or Witcher S2 - which I'm told is more cohesive than S1 which I mostly liked but it took me six months to finish.

Witcher S2 was great but if you didn't like the first so much then you'll probably not like the second.

I liked S2 of Witcher well enough - I mean, it's high-budget fantasy TV with lots going on - but my poor viewership over many weeks made the storyline very convoluted. My own fault. I'll get to S2.

I'm starting Avatar after two other people yelled at me. Plus my daughter is 8 and I expect could watch it with me.

You will not regret a moment of watching Avatar TLA. Top tier stuff, and enjoyable by the whole family to boot.

DiMaggio and Disney/Hulu have come to an agreement and he will return as Bender!

As must be. Ridiculous they pulled this off. I'm about the biggest Futurama fan ever, so I'm very hyped, even if it will never recapture the original FOX run.

Video games being turned into streaming series or film seems to be the latest trend. Bioshock is another one, and supposedly Sony acquiring Bungie is so they can do the same for Destiny. Not sure how I feel about it overall, as the track record for video games brought to film isn't good. I guess that Uncharted movie is better then some thought. Up next is Halo and some time next year is The Last of Us. Not sure when Borderlands movie is going to launch, but it looks like it might be pretty bad.
