There were dragons. You didn't watch far enough
Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish
Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

I binge watched the Sopranos some months ago.
If you want to compare the full length of the two series I'd argue it's only the first season, maybe second of the Wire that is truly great. It sort of gets lost in side characters and less interesting plots as the series goes on.
Sopranos on the other hand gets better with time as the characters evolve. However, I think the Sopranos are a bit too much family drama at time and not enough mobsters doing mobster things. I think you have to watch the full first season to judge what you think of Sopranos but in my opinion it's a great show.

I'm inclined to agree that series 3 and 4 represent a dip in quality as compared to series 1 and 2, but for me this is more because 1 and 2 are spectacular and 3-4 are just great, there's an element of truth for sure in saying that 3 and 4 get a little lost in the meanderings of ancillary characters, but relatively I would still they are better than a large % of series of a large % of shows that are out there. Also I'd argue that 5 is quite possibly the best series of the show, better even than 1 and 2 - I'd also say 2 was better than 1.
I really do need to get round to seeing The Sopranos though for sure. It's not the only immensely popular and/or critically acclaimed show I've never seen though. Never seen The Walking Dead (by choice, I hate zombies), Sons of Anarchy, Dexter, Lost, Mad Men, just to name a few. Also I still haven't seen the last 2 series of Game of Thrones, I refuse until either GRRM releases the next book or he dies, avoiding spoilers in this day and age is next to impossible!

Yep I've never seen Deadwood either. I did see some of Rome a long time ago, but never really got into it.
Hmm, I still haven't gotten around to watching American Gods yet either actually thinking abut it.

Flippin' yes! My local PBS station started airing season 4 of The IT Crowd! So happy about that.
And if any of you guys can tell me who always says "flippin' " on the show then I'll know you're a true fan. Any takers?

Rome requires an interest and knowledge of Caesar, Antony, Cleopatra & Octavian's time to truly pop. It really is a hell of a great show that got the boot way to early. A few actors from it will blame the axe on GoT and I'm inclined to agree a bit on that.
What did you watch? From S1 ep 1 or just random episodes out of order?

Pretty sure it was the first episode I saw and some of the second, but it was a long time ago now and I genuinely can't really remember much about it tbh. Got so much stuff I need to watch as well, no idea if I'll ever get round to it all.

Atlanta just got added to Hulu
-- which by the way has just implemented the worst redesign of any product I've ever seen in any category --
so I finally got to see it, and it was as good as its reputation suggests. Way more playful and creative in terms of absurdist humor than I expected. That Black American Network ep could have been a The Boondocks episode. Acting is uniformly great. Lakeith Stanfield was great in Short Term 12 but at the time I didn't realize he was so ambitious. What he did in Get Out and on this show, I would not be surprised if he's a huge star in a few years.

1. Why is "dong lover" in your autocorrect?
2. I tend to side with QuickTidal when it comes to Community. I don't hate it, but I just don't think it's very funny.
3. Donald Glover is something of a straight man on this show, but not a dull presence. Actually a pretty interesting character with a blend of slacker & go-getter tendencies you don't see that much on TV. I'm impressed with his writing. It kinda reminds me of Master of None -- minus some of the more film-buff tendencies Aziz incorporates -- and the aforementioned Boondocks (though a bit more laconic, more acerbic, and mostly less biting).

Binged the first 10 episodes of The Good Place on Netflix last night. 3 more to go in Season 1, but I'm wiped from work.
It's good.

Watched Ep 3 of THE ORVILLE, ABOUT A GIRL and it was excellent. Very timely, and very good with an unexpected ending.
I think this needs saying again. It's NOT supposed to be a comedy. It's NOT supposed to even be a parody. It was marketed poorly like Seth's new comedy show, and it's not that at all.
It's not. It's homage to Star Trek with comedy elements IN it. It's like watching TNG is they had a bit more comedy in it.
Watching it and expecting it to be a comedy show though, is a mistake.
I'm still enjoying the heck out of it.
