Btw, this is brilliant.... from Variety http://www.variety.com/article/VR111800247...=1&nid=2562

" 'Fringe' element haunts Fox shows
'Observer' spotted at games, in 'Idol' audience

Eagle-eyed Fox viewers may have seen a pale, well-dressed bald guy showing up in the strangest of places.
The expressionless man -- who looks like a Blue Man Group star, without the paint -- has been spotted in the audience of "American Idol," on the sidelines at an NFL divisional playoff game, a Yankees game and a NASCAR race -- all live events broadcast on the network.

"Fringe" fans have quickly identified the man as the Observer, an enigmatic character who plays a part in the show's mythology.

He's never identified, and the sports announcers or "Idol" stars never acknowledge his presence onscreen. And that's the point, as Fox continues to roll out a mysterious viral marketing campaign meant to equal the character's shadowy ways.

Fox wouldn't comment on the campaign -- likely hoping to keep an air of ambiguity to it all. But internally, staffers have taken to calling it the "Where's Baldo?" initiative.

"Fringe" fans have also taken to posting the Observer's appearances on YouTube -- and Fox has not-so-mysteriously looked the other way.

Michael Cerveris, the actor who plays the Observer, will continue to show up in character at various televised events in the coming weeks."

Where's Baldo?

hee hee... :unworthy:
The leader, his audience still,
considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

OOH! I can't wait to watch this tonight! Telepathic orgasm!?

I saw Baldo at the Yankees game FOX aired on Saturday. They rather conspicuously focused the camera right on him!

EDIT: American Idol better not have fucked w/ my DVR recording again! That was such fail!

Totally agree there 'byss. I also like how emotional (as in guilt stricken) Walter seems to have become over the last few eps. how many left before we have to wait for new eps? Like 2, right?

I am horrified to note i think there are only two eps left in the season and no information whether the show will be back in Sept 2009 or Jan 2010 (i take it as granted that it WILL be back, since the ratings, esp post American Ahole, have been excellent).

But if that new bit of casting doesn't bring out the sf fanhordes, i don't know what will.

The new casting is fantastic. I want to know what Walter did to Peter. You know he totally experimented on his son and that Peter can probably do some bad ass shit.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

I really loved this week's ending. I think this show could go the route of millenium as being creepy. Millennium was one of those show that still lingers with me on creepiness factor and that is walter < The birds episode is still the freakiest hour of TV>. If it can keep its humor intact while doing this, I think it would be good blend of Millennium/xfiles with a really interesting plot.

Let's hope they don't mess up the plot mythology as it could be great.

My theory!!
Or was it someone else's first?

There is something poetic about a bunch of animal rights activists freeing a vicious animal from captivity, just to be mauled by it themselves.

Is that irony?
Or tragedy perhaps...
The leader, his audience still,
considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

Finally watched the latest ep. Great stuff. Raised some intriguing questions. I'm looking forward to discovering more about Walter's involvement w/ 'Olive's' experimental treatment and Peter's weird history. I think this show has great potential to be long-running series.

Can't wait to see Nimoy.

Oh, and I didn't catch Baldo in this ep....

Oh, and I didn't catch Baldo in this ep....

Y'know what i want to see in the finale... remember that scene in LoTR: FotR where Saruman and Gandalf are whipping each other around with sticks and their brains? Well i want a Fringe version of that: a no holds barred full on crazy twelve-minute scene where Walter and Bell cut loose on each other with all kinds of mad scientist shit - hypno lights, phasing torpedos, phantom assassin butterflies, hullucinogenic frogs, the whole mad crazy lot just throwing them at each other....

"You bastard! That instant solid gel gas was my idea! Good thing i had the counter-agent handy. Here, have some brain mutation radiation virus!!!"
"Nice try, but I had my brain encased in titanium foil just in case you tried that. Now hold still while i inject you with were-hedgehog genes!"
"Not if my cold-virus slug jams itself in your throat first!!!"

As for Baldo, he walks in front of the camera and looks back quickly just after Olivia and co arrive at the suicide-in-progress scene.

- Abyss, ....watched it twice to catch that.

The backstory they unleashed in this latest ep was particularly compelling - really made me eager for next week's ep - they really should have jumped straight back to the ZFT stuff when they came back from the break, it's so much more engaging than the random weird thing of the week episodes.

Was it just me or was Anna Torv looking slightly hotter than usual in this episode? And I'm not just talking about the telepathy session with the stripper (though that was nice :p).

I got linked to a blog that pointed out the clues in each episode that point to what's going to be happening the following week...never realised quite how much forshadowing and stuff they put in, it's awesome that they do stuff like that :p. I have a feeling I've missed out on a lot of the viral buzz Fox has been doing though...

Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.
