There are only two parallel universes.

Getting caught up on the new year's eps...

Giant evil spiked slugs in your digestive tract = BEST assassination technique EVER. Even better than imaginary razor butterflies.

But the six fingered hand computer screen brain fuck episode was unforgiveably lame on all fronts especially the Peter/Olivia unrequited romance bull.

Fortunately, suicidal berserker wereporcipines and two sessions of Olivia in the underwear-mandatory-brain-scanner device AND Walter experimenting on a poor defenceless watermelon were an acceptable recovery.

I love this show. It makes me happy.

Were porcupines? Are you referring to the rhinovirii? Cuz those were awesome. God I love this show, but the Hiatus thing is almost enough to make me stop watching Idol...almost.

Oh, yeah, I totally forgot about that episode. Yeah, that was awesome. And what's up with Walter's typewriter? I was distracted at the time and didn't actually see anything in a scene that had no words. Oops.

The typeface of the typewriter was the same as the 'prophetic' futurist text. Suggestion was that either Walter wrote the 'bible' the conspiracy peoples are following, or (more subtly) he happens to have the typrewriter that was used to write it, which would suggest he knows who did.

- Abyss, knows 'y'.

Yeah, you're probably right. I just wanted to post in this thread so I could subscribe to it. I hope we get to see german guy walking around in that other universe. And that was totally Peter screwing with the lights[/crazy theory]

I'm figuring Jean is a parallel universe spy. It would explain a lot.

Not the greatest episode tonight, I thought - after the pre-credit sequence I was expecting another horror-ish ep, but that aspect was unusually subdued this week. Plus, I'd have liked to have gone straight back into the ZFT stuff from before the hiatus. But it is nice to get some more Walterisms :unworthy:. Really didn't catch that the kid was a young observer until they made it blindingly obvious, I blame my tiredness. Raises questions as to how he's simultaneously all grown up...I find it unlikely that there's more than one of him, which implies some kind of time-travel...

Sir Thursday
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

The evil federal child protection science serrvices guy told his cel phone they had 'found another one', so i don't think it's the same observer.

And we can hardly be blamed for not making the connection considering it's been what? six eps and three or more months since we last saw the grown up bald dude.

I liked this ep. It wasn't the best we've seen, and the way the kid empath'd from Olivia to the Artist was about one suspended disbelief stretch too many, but still fun, and Walter was in fine form.

- Abyss, notes Olivia is developing an excellent 'honestly Walter wtf' face.

Last nights ep. was meh, But the previews for next week may help things pick back up.

"Whatever it was that attacked them had Huge Talons, like that of an eagle!"
"Great, we're looking for big bird"
"Don't be rdiculous, more like a teradactyle..."

~Pure win, I am a bit disappointed that there will only be 5 new episodes after last night....

Fun Fact: (Note my wife was the one to notice this...which is why I love her)

The first lady to die(blonde chick with all the tattoos) was in fact the oldest daughter on the 80's sitcom Roseanne. You know the super hot blond that put out. Not the emo black headed chick that put out....

~SO yes, My wife IS PURE WIN!!!!

Fringe appears to be getting better as it goes, so I'll keep it on the list, but seriously all these breaks are p!ssing me off. I can't remember what happened in previous eps, so I totally missed the observer connection from last ep. Nice catch guys.

And Bent, your wife is indeed pure win.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Last nite's ep not so good. Predictable. Suspension of disbelief not engaged. Monster was lame.

- Abyss, disappointed.

I found even Walter a bit weaker than usual. He's done the 'i pissed myself' thing before and the poison/sneaking off thing was thoroughly the opposite of unexpected.

And eaglesnakebatlizardwaspgrizzly was just silly, right down to the twice repeated 'it's above your head you ignorant git who has obviously never seen 'Aliens' or any other monster movie in the history of the world' gag.

I'm not worries about the show - still like and its ratings make it a lock for another season which means the hypervelocity shit should hit the parallel universe fan by the season finale and leave us craving more.

I did, however, like the omlette.

Have you noticed that they have gotten away from "the pattern" and massive dynamic scenarios...I find that a bit odd.

Those come and go, kind of like how the X-Files had a few standalone eps in between each 'massive conspiracy' ep.

The production team seems to realize too much overarcing plot can kill a series in its first year (unlike, say, 'Dollhouse').

Prison Break did it well, I think, I just hate to lose focus on an unseen entity trying to pawn the world, lol.
