Yeah they have like a ton of different sports for kids to get into which culminates in the games in May. It's really well run and attended & a very positive thing for the kids.
What QT describes is... Not that.
Bought the tee ball stand, but didn't get a chance to use it with him yet (kids had a super busy Weeknd with their cousins who were in town), he did a practice yesterday with the team that my wife claims was good (I was texting her how disappointed I am so far with the people running it; and she told me I should chill and that circumstances made things how they were and the people are nice)...but I dunno. He has a game this Thursday. We will see how that goes.
I sat with him and told him I just want him to have fun and I asked if he felt like he was getting the hang of the rules and actions of the game and he said yes, and I said if you keep doing it and it's causing you too much anxiety we can reevaluate, but that it should be fun first and foremost. "Are you having fun when you play?" "him: "yes"
Okay so that's where it stands now, but I've got my eye on the coaches to see how the next few games go.
I was going to suggest getting a T ball stand. It’s a great place to start at any age. Albert Pujols might be the best Right handed hitter of all time and always worked on his swing with a T. It really helps build confidence and work on your swing. I coach both my girls summer teams and always start every girl off on the T.
I also missed a reunion of all my college friends I haven’t seen in a year because we had games, so Fuck those coaches.
Good luck to little QT!! -

after months of fucking about with a disputed boundary on the house we were buying, everything was agreed a week ago, all sorted, final paperwork being drafted up, ready to sign over and out of nowhere last night the woman rings her agent and says she's not selling.
Thanks for wasting 6 months of our fucking life and thousands of pounds you twat
what the heck? How is she allowed to even do this? I would wager the Real estate board would frown on this hardcore and she'd have trouble listing it again, should she ever choose to.
In Canada, she would get dinged for not just her own fees, but any you incurred as well.
What a pain to deal with.
This^
Any sense of whether it's a tactic as opposed to a decision? You could fire back a slightly increased offer w an extremely tight refusal timeline, or, if you want to be nasty about it, revoke the original offer and send a reduced one to reflect time expended.
I’d bet this is it. People suck.
In the states you could sue for “Failure to Perform”, but it’s a pain.
Worst case scenario you should get the money back you have in. -

My read to start my holiday: The Lost War by Justin Lee Anderson. For the most part, a well-written example of a classic fantasy adventure, with a gang of various talents thrown together on a quest (I think it's very obviously one of the role-playing inspired genre). The characters are engaging and it does well balancing multiple plot threads. And then comes a truly spectacular ending which has me wanting to dive into the sequel. Probably won't be next, but good chance it'll before my holiday is out. Recommended.
Before that I finally finished up Lords of Uncreation, the finale of Adrian Tchaikovsky's Final Architecture space opera trilogy. Also a lot of fun, as per Tchaikovsky.
I felt the exact same about the Lost War. Really enjoyed it. I was pretty underwhelmed with the sequel though. So much so that I didn’t pick up the 3rd. -

Nope. Nothings particularly close in my opinion either.
