I need to look for a copy of Book 5 of Wars of Light and Shadow.

It's a decent series, as long as you like long-form flowery prose, slow pacing/buildup, and a lot of fatalistic angst.

So, so very agreed.

You and QT need to form a Wars of Light and Shadow book club. I think there's a thread or two on it somewhere aren't there QT?

Oh haha...

Lol

Just finished MISTWRAITH, and it was wonderful and very much as described. Taking my time with the series, and enjoying.

Which one is book 5 for you? I ask because the numbering is a bit odd because the hardcover combines Ships of Merior and Warhost of Vastmark into one. Are you up to Grand Conspiracy or Peril's Gate?

Grand Conspiracy. Merior and Vastmark were 2 books in Canada.

I read Fugitive Prince earlier this year, finally (even though it was the first one I bought). It left me pleasantly surprised.

I was going to read something else as a break between them, but was t feeling anything from my to-read pile, so i may dive into SHIPS OF MERIOR right away.

Ooh, I got a notice of its release, but didn't realize it was only a novella. Bought! (It's also only $3 on Amazon US.)

I bought The Founding and The Saint by Dan Abnett today for some odd reason. I can't figure out where I've heard of them before.

This month marks what would have been the 100th birthday of my company's president's grandfather (his father founded the company) so to celebrate, all employees got a $100 prepaid Visa card. So I splurged on the black-edged edition of Harrow the Ninth ($60 at Mike's Collectable Books). Yay, now I have a matching set! (Also: yay, I can finally read Harrow!)

I've not read the first yet (got it last Christmas), had no idea the second had dropped. I better get on book 1.

It's solid, a fairly new cast with a few big hitters from the past in side roles.

Heroes is still my favourite Abercrombie book

RYTHYM OF WAR dropped into my my kindle this morning...and I'm unsure if I'm going to read it right away. OATHBRINGER was a slog even if I enjoyed it in the end...so I fear RoW a bit.

You're aware that I'm one of the people who has a constant go at you for letting Sanderson live rent free in your head like Voldemort, right?

LOL

I'll read it, I just don't know if I'm ready for it yet.

It's much more fun to do the whole stormbad bit on malazan discord anyway.

Oh, that reminds me, it's time for Ginto's daily warning!

That is my exact feelings for RoW, I don't know if I want to face it yet, I'm not in the mood to battle through a book. I'd likely just drop it entirely but I don't want to do that with this series so I am not sure when I will read it.
