Quick Ben would own them both simultaneously and whilst bantering with Kalam, but what would happen between these two heavyweights? I've never been a big fan of Tayschrenn's but somehow I think he would get the better of Cowl.

Not in a million years will Quick Ben be able to take Tayschrenn. Dont get me wrong, I prefer Quick Ben by a mile but Tayschrenn is one powerful MF.
Just look at the way Erikson Potrays him in his later books (he sort of made Tayschrenn look like a punk in GOTM though) and also ICE's potrayal of him in NOK.

Also QB had him as his shaved knuckle or whatever you guys call it. He must be ubber powerful if thats the case. There are so many reasons why I think Tayschrenn is by far the strongest mage in the series but I will be here all day listing them

Ha! Not to derail my own thread but the thing about Quick Ben is he never does what his opponents (or his friends, for that matter) expect. Raw power is only dominant when your opponent faces you head on. Even
disregarding that, QB has faced Icarium, and held him (levelling up afterwards for SURE) and then faced down three dragons at once, and THEN blasted Silchas fucking Ruin out of the sky (granted, with a little help from a cusser )

Would Tayschrenn or Cowl ever stand in Icarium's way? I don't think so. Fortune favours the bold

I think Quick now would have Tays. Not before his Iccy powerup though.

I really can remember bugger all about Cowl though. Where is that revealed? Has it even been revealed yet?

its more or less implied that rake had some encounter or the other with cowl -its in GOTM.

Thats not to say that Malaclypse has not had some inside info from either Toll or Return. Infact Malaclypse is like Kallor (the forum one that is) in disguise

I think Tay would win, his power I deem to be great.
He would perhaps boast QB in a straight up fight in my estimation, although I give the edge to QB in some ways, especially since his development.

Just having someone as your shaved knuckle in the hole doesn't mean they are far stronger than you it just means that they're the best you can come up with that is willing to help you. Even having someone who doubles your total power is a damn huge boon (especially when you're Quick Ben)

I say Tayschrenn would beat Cowl, even though this thread is derailing into Tay vs QB.

...But i seem to recall that even the CG has a little healthy fear of him, so i think that he might be more than a match for Tayschren

I vote Quick. Because even Tay can't compete against him.
And btw - Anomander says in GotM that the only reason he couldn't defeat Tay is because he was trying to protect the Moon and it's inhabitants.

Aye, I believe Rake was also offing some of the demons that Tayschrenn was summoning/misdirecting some of his Tay's efforts. Though that might just be a some sort of mental conjuration trying to justify a distinct lack of Tayschrenn Rakeage.
